Weren't we told early in each of the past two offseasons not to expect much activity, only to end up with Lester, and then Heyward, Lackey & Zobrist? Or am I misremembering? I'd be surprised if we're not at least in on the premier closers. I'm going to be very surprised if we go with a question mark like Holland as the lead offseason bullpen acquisition. It just seems like you don't acknowledge the value of an elite closer by giving up a prospect like Torres in 2016, only to go into 2017 with a gaping hole at the back end of the pen. Especially when all it would cost to fill it is money.
