  1. "that's their 3-hole player" is definitely one way to describe Bryce Harper
  2. I'll say. However, if we could somehow turn Dillon Maples into a useful major leaguer, that would be horsefeathering amazing Somehow? I think he already is. He already is a useful major leaguer?
  3. a) it's the Goldeyes 2) Millar took 1 AB for a promotional event, and Ryan Zimmerman is actually STILL PLAYING WITH THE horsefeathering WASHINGTON NATIONALS wow AND he's moonlighting in Winnipeg? that's pretty impressive.
  4. i'm very curious who the third reliever is that the astros thought they had a deal for.
  5. i think mccarthy is just talking about the ink. if you look closely, one of them has blue text. the other one actually has gold.
  6. i like when he rattles off a list of outfield prospect flotsam as support for the idea that the cardinals OF outlook is better, as if we don't have a bunch of fungible outfielders throughout the minors too. imagine using DJ Wilson, Charcer Burks, Mark Zagunis, etc. as backing for, well, anything to do with the major league roster.
  7. This article says Dylan Floro was DFA'ed to make room. https://www.cbssports.com/fantasy/baseball/news/cubs-dylan-floro-dropped-from-40-man-roster/
  8. And when we can blow past our limits in IFA in a year or two and Theo finds 1-3 more Eloy's, Torres', etc. isn't that no longer an option under the new cba?
  9. man, fans of other teams in the division are going to be so pissed when some of our lower level players turn into legit prospects in a year or two.
  10. Wilson's around next year, too, though. going into the offseason with CJ, Wilson, Strop, Rondon & Monty (if he's not pegged for the rotation) already penciled in for five pen spots in 2018 is pretty nice.
  11. lmao "our team is in free fall and has surrendered eight games in the standings in three weeks but at least we got the cubs to trade a borderline top 100 prospect to make their team better." yikes. aim higher, brewers fans.
  12. i'm a bit bummed to see Paredes go, but this is exactly the type of trade to use Candelario on. pretty happy about this. there's so much depth that even if two relievers randomly die like Strop and Rondon did last year, there are enough other options that Maddon shouldn't feel forced into a situation like last postseason where he has to ride someone every game.
  13. http://www.sharegif.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/05/5-Caddyshack-quotes.gif
  14. so many babies are gonna be born 38 weeks from today after the cubs bring home the crosstown cup
  15. that top 100 prospect is a 24-year old first baseman OPSing .653 in AAA.
  16. I think Beltran and Halladay get in without much trouble. Carlos Lee doesn't really even belong on that list, though. I think he was referring to Cliff Lee and not Carlos Lee. ahhh. hahahaha. that makes a lot more sense. (especially since he went on to talk about cliff lee). whoops.
  17. I think Beltran and Halladay get in without much trouble. Carlos Lee doesn't really even belong on that list, though.
  18. Funner Fact: Storm Davis faced Ken Griffey Sr. and Jr. in the same inning! The Griffey's went back to back against Kirk McKaskill. That's probably not something that will ever happen again. probably not they're all pretty old
