I feel like the juiced ball craze somehow missed the Cubs. Other than Happ and maybe Contreras, everyone's power production is about where I would have expected it this season. Now show a bunch of stats that make me look very wrong. Tommy LaStella, career high 5 HR. 216 ISO. Jon Lester, career high 1 HR. 3 doubles.

Speaking of the Mets, how are their fans feeling these days? Oh ok then, carry on. (sorry everytime the Mets are brought up I have an urge to see how Mets Refugees is doing for horsefeathers and giggles) yes i agree it is unjust that the mets, a historically poorly run and mediocre franchise, continue to be poorly run and mediocre.

I really have no problem going into next year with basically what we started this year with, but Montgomery and Quintana replacing Lackey and Arrieta. If you can sign Otani, bonus. Look to bolster the ration at next years trade deadline. that's still only four starters though.

i listened to the start of this game on the radio, and Pat had the night off. Grote was doing play-by-play and Coomer was doing color, and it was perfectly fine. they should stick with this arrangement in the 5th inning.

99% sure it's Midnights EST, needs to be on the roster before Sept 1 to be postseason eligible radio is acting like it's 3pm central like the other deadline, but i don't think that's right trades can still happen even into september. to be eligible for the playoffs, a player needs to be in the organization by september 1. so the deadline would technically be midnight, i believe.

brewers seem to be prospect clutching right now and almost certainly won't be taking on all of his salary, so. astros seem like a strong possibility, maybe the yankees? rangers (maybe more for the next couple seasons than this one)?
