  1. Already got mine a few weeks ago :) Enjoy Dempster. :( I will....I have bleacher seats. I can't wait to participate in the tradition of throwing HR balls back
  2. Already got mine a few weeks ago :)
  3. I was just about to say that. Maddux should be pitching so if you can pull bleacher tickets, there is a good shot at a souvinier ;)
  4. According to Comcast Sports Nite, its 2 actually. Either way, should be wrapped up by Sunday Morning
  5. Luol Deng is out for the year after an MRI rev- Oh wait wrong board

  7. I know the 97-98 Bulls had a 13 game streak. Not sure if it was their longest though
  8. Using my 5am after 15 hour road trip math, if the Bulls went just 4-10 the rest of the way, Orlando (the 9th seed) would have to go 9-4 to catch the Bulls and leave the Bulls out of the playoffs. Looks like there will be playoffs in Chicago for the first time since 2003
  9. Are you crazy? He may make some (ok several) stupid plays every game but for every bad thing he does, he does at least 1 thing that is unexpected, such as hustling for an unexpected rebound or annoying a key player defensively and it throws off his game
  10. Not collapses maybe but terrible teams. For the record, teams that have collapsed since 2000: 2000 White Sox (best record in AL, swept in ALDS) 2001 Cubs (first place in July, sink to third place finish) 2001 Bears (13-3 record, lose first game in playoffs at home) 2002 Blackhawks (Win first game of playoff series, lose the next 4...i realize this hardly qualifies as a collapse but I wanted to make sure people still knew the Blackhawks sorta existed) 2003 Cubs (hold 3-1 lead in NLCS, u know what happens) 2003 White Sox (2 games in first place in mid-September, finish 3 or 4 games behind Twins) 2004 Cubs (Hold 1.5 game lead in WC race with 6 games to go, finish 3 games out)
  11. So to track this, at first Prior was out 7-10 days and Wood a few days. Now Prior is estimated to miss the first week of the season, Wood the first series of the season. Hopefully they'll be back by June
  12. Yup, the Bulls are world famous for their collapses. Man, the '90s were heartbreaking for me. How many chicago teams have made the playoffs since 2000? I'll give u a clue, its the same number of Boston teams who have won championships in that same time period
  13. This is Chicago guys. Our city is prone to collapses and the Bulls will fare no different.
  14. I quit, we're cursed and not because of this thread. If we're not cursed explain how the Trib Co gets lucked into its most talented team in 90 some years and gets teased with a 3-1 lead in the NLCS and then disintegrates into this mess
  15. Cubs.com has a story entitled "Wood Could Miss Opening Day Start" but doesn't really give us any new news
  16. Why cant they send the doctor out to Arizona instead of the other way around....would have made millions of people feel so much better
  17. Hopefully this one will catch on like last years, execpt with a LOT less posts. Format will run like last years (for reference: http://www.northsidebaseball.com/Forum/viewtopic.php?t=10323 - Regular, http://www.northsidebaseball.com/PremiumForum/viewtopic.php?t=10323 - Premium) I didn't want to make this thread so soon, but I was planning on doing it eventually. If mods want to sticky this it would be great, or if you want to wait until Opening Day that would be fine too. I'll start with a link that was already posted in another thread about Wood leaving today's game early. http://chicago.cubs.mlb.com/NASApp/mlb/news/article.jsp?ymd=20050309&content_id=962909&vkey=spt2005news&fext=.jsp&c_id=chc
  18. Deng probably to go in IR for 5 games with a 'severly sprained ankle'
  19. Most people wouldnt have known about the loss until they skimmed by it in the paper the next day.
  20. Can we keep em close at least? Look back at the Bulls last 30 games or so, how many of those didnt we keep close/win. Everyone gets blown out sometimes. Not this bad usually but whatever, we'll still make the playoffs.
  21. ....cant win 'em all folks....can't win 'em all...
  22. Just a question....does anyone remember Marcus Fizer? It has only been one season since he left and I swear its felt like eons ago. I thought the kid really had some potential and would finally show it when he left the Bulls, but apparently he's rotting away on Milwaukee's bench. Oh well.
  23. Heh, its almost never sold out. I was able to get tickets to the Oct 3rd game last year on October 2nd at 10pm.
  24. Got some value date bleachers at the 4/11 Cubs-Padres game for me and Mark_R. First time I didnt have to use the VWR
  25. Bulls will now finish with a winning record in the "month that will kill them". A win tomorrow and they are 7-4, a loss and they are 6-5
