  1. I would imagine the Angels and D-Backs are the teams with the depth and top line prospects to get a deal done.
  2. Cardinals should just do what the Red Sox do and DL a guy who isn't really injured.
  3. The Sun Times = colored uncomfortable toilet paper.
  4. I'd prefer a rain out.
  5. What else do the Cards have to offer beyond Reyes? Their farm system is even more shallow than ours is.
  6. Actually, I would WELCOME this being a viable concern seeing as that would mean that Niefi got 550+ AB's in 2006. Unfortunately, I think he's right on schedule to land that many at bats. I'd wager lots of money on the under.
  7. I don't need to watch it. I still remembert it frame by frame from my spot in Billy Goat Tavern. Before UI/Arizona it was the greatest sports moment of my life.
  8. I always get 24 hour meth bender when people look at my license.
  9. Well this was out of nowhere.
  10. Well if there's one thing this organization needs, it's more Second Basemen and less top shelf starting pitching. John Kruk is one of the biggest reasons I don't watch ESPN anymore except for games.
  11. LINK Aaron Miles and Todd Walker on the same day?? Glorious
  12. They plan on DHing/1Bing one while the other catches I believe. And managers are stupid in their paranoia of having one catcher getting injured during the game with none on the bench. Cause those 2 ABs that would go to a pitcher if the other guy was switched off of DH, that's really worth wasting a spot on a 3rd catcher all year.
  13. Wasn't Len the singer in his band? He seems less than lead singer worthy.
  14. Michael Wuertz for Brandon Phillips? Good grief. Phillips will be waived tomorrow, it's not like he's gonna command a lot in a trade.
  15. He's got power, but can't get on base. He's also only caught 1 inning in the majors so I'm interested to see how he handles the defensive side.
  16. Thats because the stat counts every minor leaguer. The A's try to avoid keeping the guy who strikes out 120 times.20 homers and at least 120K's, the Cubs got a spot for you. I have no clue what this means. I'd like to see the study broken down more to top 20/50 prospects or at least remove organizational players, though I suspect that would make our #s look even worse.
  17. Don't know. It should be pointed out that I'm annoyed by hot chicks that wear clothes too. Well, isn't everybody? Maybe not ugly chicks.
  18. Aardsma's face is the one I'm making in my driver's license picture. Every bouncer at every bar always has something to say. And I don't understand everyone's obsession with the hat cocked to the side. I do it with mine from time to time too, is it that annoying?
  19. I did notice that most writers did not make a big deal of the quote. But I've feared for quite some time that Ronny will be on an incredibly short leash. And while it's true that most teams operate this way, that doesn't make it a sound practice. So it doesn't take much to start worrying. Ronny has to be given a chance to fail, and fail badly, then get the chance to play through it and rebound before being replaced by such dead weight as Neifi. Neifi guarantees ONLY a .300 OBP? That was ONE YEAR! Worst OBP in his career. He could have a .330-.340 year for all we know. And that guy is FAR from dead weight, man. Neifi's best non-Colorado OBP is 298. Neifi's career OBP even with more than half his career with the Rockies is 301.
