    todays Baseball Prospectus playoff odds have the Cardinals division odds at better than 81%, the Reds at about 11% and the Astros at about 7% Isn't that the point, they aren't a lock. 81% is a nice number, but it's not 99%. Hmmm, 81% or 11%, better than 4 out of 5 or essentially 1 out of 10 Oh and the TOTAL playoff odds for the Cards is over 85% including the WC odds of 4% Perhaps you would like to make a straight up $100 bet with me? No? Why not? Is 1 in 5 shot of blowing it worthy of laughing like an ass?

    The Neifi Game Giants lead 7-0 I had rememberred it as the Rockies being down when Neifi hit the HR, but apparently it was tied. And completely right on the Mets. I rememberred them being in it til the end, but didn't realize all they needed was 1 win in their last 5 games for the 3 way tie, and they couldn't manage that.

    A worse Illinois team beat a better Illinois St. team a few years back by about 50. I took U of I -30 and intend to collect on it.

    best games ever. not in the 90s. ever. His game score was 105 for the game. Not sure what the highest is, but I know its up there. The top score you could theoretically get is 114, which Kerry was 7 K's and 1 hit away from getting I wanna say it's the highest 9 inning game score.

    I'm with RichHillisaBeast, those decisions really don't seem like that bad of ideas. And bemoaning him not wanting to breaking camp with a guy with a MLB career line of 207/265/.313????(Who happens to be 28)

    Quick disclaimer: I think Jocketty's a great GM, and would love to have him in charge of the Cubs. But doesn't saying the players have underperformed and calling them underachievers really make him look like the fool here?

    Your going to be very upset when Schmdit lands on the DL in the first month with shoulder problems. Zito is the best pitcher on the FA list. Are you sure? ERA + Last three seasons. Zito- 04: 99; 05: 110; 06: 121 Schmidt- 04: 139; 05: 95; 06: 134 I trust Zito's health a lot more than I trust Schmidt's.

    If true, this is going to make Cards fans very angry. I believe a big push for the stadium came from ownership saying the new stadium would help them increase payroll to keep up with the top payroll teams.

    If David Bell gets a 3/24 contract from anyone I'll eat my hat. If Carlos Lee and Aramis Ramirez combined only make about 20M next year I'll eat your hat. If the Cubs trade Matt Murton for Steve Trachsel I'll eat everyone on this forum's hat.

    I think there's a lot of idiots out there that think the racist letters to LaTroy and Corey(First I've heard of those) are what helped get them sent out of town, and are now going to stupidly do it to everyone they want gone. Sure it would be great to get rid of Dusty, but not like that.

    My league is anything but normal, we're just kind of making it up as we go along, but what we did as our trade deadline approached was put up our tentative list of keepers, mostly to help facilitate trades. We're not finalizing ours until a week before next year's draft.
