  1. Holy crap Bo Porter sighting!!
  2. Yeah this couldn't possibly be why I'd want to see ND beat that overhyped conference. I actually think ND would match up better with SEC teams because ND's weakness is their defense and the SEC isn't known for having potent offenses. ND-Florida and ND-Auburn would be good games. I think Tennessee would pose a bigger threat to ND than any other SEC team. SEC teams that I think would beat ND: 1. Florida 2. Auburn 3. LSU 4. Tennessee 5. Arkansas 6. Georgia 7. Alabama You forgot Ole Miss's women's lacrosse team.
  3. I don't like reading that as the subject. It crashed into a residential building, which is good because there's a good likelihood the people that lived there were at work, and that it truly was an accidental crash.
  4. Frightening, the bad king of frightening.
  5. Definitely go AL, but go Mets for now.
  6. Sullivan missed his true calling. IT'S FOOLPROOF MARKETING!!

  8. If ND doesn't get the string of lucky breaks necessary to put them in the title game, I would love to see them beat the SEC champ instead. Better yet, I'll be greedy and hope for both.
  9. I think you're confused as to what type of people are filling this out if you think the people rating Jeter are thinking about him diving into the stands. Tango isn't posting this stuff on cubs.com forums.
  10. I have to hate you for making me look at Joakim Noah again.
  11. Why would you trade anything for him though? He's not worth the money, let alone any players on top of that. I obviously wouldn't since I don't think it's a good idea to pay him 12M without giving up something in return. It's possible that actual GMs would though.
  12. If they don't trade him, this is a pretty bad idea.
  13. Pierre's arm was so bad that my guess is that Cub fans consider his entire defense deficient based on the poor arm. I'd agree on this, I think too many people were biased by Pierre's awful arm that they downgraded him on everything(quite possibly subconsciously) Personally I had him above average in the fielding categories, but man that arm is weak. I'm inclined to think the same thing about Jacque Jones, whose range I was pretty impressed with.
  14. Georgia was giving up 6 points a contest against Western Kentucky, South Carolina(The barely beating Wofford SC), UAB, Ole Miss, and Colorado. Georgia is not good. And if I remember correctly not scoring much more than 6 a game (which could be wrong). Georgia was barely beating some very weak teams. 48-12 over Western Kentucky 18-0 over South Carolina 34-0 over UAB 14-13 over Colorado 14-9 over Ole Miss Well you just blew that thought to hell. Thanks :D I still stand by my belief that they are not good. I'm with you though, I don't think Georgia is very good either. A good team shouldn't be shut out for 3 quarters and need a touchdown with less than a minute left to beat a still winless Colorado team in Athens. Colorado had more first downs and outgained Georgia on the day. And the score against Ole Miss was indicative of the actual game. Georgia had one less first down and only five more yards than Ole Miss. So it's not like Georgia gained more yards than both but committed a couple costly turnovers. In fact in the CU game, I believe Colorado had to giftwrap that one for them by giving them the ball back allowing Georgia to score twice in a hurry.

  16. What does the ND/Purdue game have to do with any of this? People get mad that ND takes over the threads, yet they are still being mentioned in a debate that involves Florida and OSU--by the non ND fan! I don't think he was trying to take a knock at ND. ND was the only other ranked team to play Purdue this year, and Purdue looks to be Iowa's best win thus far, so he was attempting to compare the two. Not that that would matter cause the SEC crew has ND finishing 6th in the SEC this year.
  17. People are using Murton's 2nd half stats as a possible sign of what's to come because he's 24 and in his (I believe) 4th season of professional baseball. Further development and adjustment is usual at that point. Juan Pierre was 28 and in his 8th season of professional ball(7th major league) Further development and adjustment at that level is unlikely.
  18. Here's the correct link. http://www.tangotiger.net/scouting/scout2006_winners.html Thanks for including us Tango.
  19. That game is at Auburn. I look forward to seeing Auburn winning and going right back to #2. The SEC is just that darn good. Vandy for top 25!
  20. Maybe in your world. Not in the baseball community... The baseball community is second only to politics in taking reputation over substance. Exactly. So even if you assume he has no value actually, he has perceived value, and therefore would be worth something in another trade. He was worth no more than a washed up pitcher this year, not sure how his perceived value has improved. You could get a player for him, but probably just another worthless player. Again, reputation over substance. Maddux was viewed as far more than a washed up pitcher.
  21. Dombrowski's one of the best GMs in baseball, I can't believe people are ripping his GM record.
  22. This is absurd. Has anybody been watching USC play football this year?
  23. Yeah I don't think Billy Beane has ever looked at how many productive outs a guy has made before deciding to acquire him.
  24. Am I the only person that thinks Louisville is better than West VA, and actually really good. I mean besides Cuse. And I have a hard time seeing Arkansas as 17th in the nation when they played like a I-AA team against USC, who all of a sudden can't beat terrible teams by more than 4 points.
