  1. Looks like water, smells like wine.
  2. I had mine for about 3 months before it crapped out. I've had some minor issues with the replacement, but nothing too troublesome.
  3. Yeah, so is my prostrate. Doesn't mean its a good thing. Is this some new organ other humans don't have? Are you an alien?
  4. Before or after the attack by rabid wolverines? God, I really hate U of M. http://valuecarpetonline.com/michigan-dm.jpg State Sucks!!! I agree. However, that does not stop U of M from being a giant pile of crap.

  6. I don't know if I've ever had bar-b-qued nachos (I don't even know how that would work), but Blue Moon is absolutely delicious, especially with an orange in it. Best beer ever. Fruit does not belong in beer, EVER. Are you afraid of scurvy? If you want to add something to Blue moon (belgian White of course) take a shot of Stolichnaya orange and then enjoy the best Blue Moon you've ever had.
  7. [in my best Triumph voice] What if we add some poop?
  8. =D> =D> =D> I guess since Muskat has not asked you to remove derogatory posts about her we can continue calling her Muskat. Maybe we can mix it up a little, like God Muskat damn. . btw - I have reason to believe that Carrie's been here in the past. OTOH, I'm pretty sure it's not worth God's time to see what people are saying about Him here. And I'd hope that He's got a pretty thick skin about such things. I've never understood why He would be put out by mere mortals using his name in vain, anyway. It seems so petty. If you were all powerful, would you care?!? Wow.
  9. For those interested in the MLB.TV package, last year I believe I paid $79.95. I will not be renewing the package. The picture quality is horrific. I have a 6MB connection speed, and I still had problems all the time. I know you may ask if I was running a wireless connection, but I was not. The service was terrible, and I wouldn't pay for it again if it was $10. That's just my opinion though.
  10. I'm going to assume you were alive in 2003 (playoffs) when the Pats defense benefitted the entire game from the most ridiculous NON calls of PI ever. About 10 more BS calls in favor of the Colts (in the future) will eventually make up for that ridiculous day. The Pats DB's used the Colt receivers as a jungle gym that day, and the refs didn't give a ****. As you can tell I HATE the Pats.
  11. I have to be honest that I simply don't follow the minor leagues very much. That being said, is our minor league pitching talent that bad or is Jeff that good? When he was drafted this summer I remember there was hype, but I didn't get the feeling that people thought he was an elite or even great talent.

  14. OMG!!! They've taken Neifi back from the Tigers, and he's going to start in CF and bat leadoff. EVERYONE RUN FOR THE HILLS!!!! (scream like a 3 year old girl while doing it; waving your hands frantically above your head for effect.)
  15. I'm not sure this counts as that. If he were against them because they beat their wives or stepped on puppies or something that would be one thing. Not voting because you aren't sure about them actually cheating on the field of play (regardles of how unlikely that is given the players) hardly counts as "moralizing and romanticising" baseball. Isn't his whole thing that he doesn't know who used and who didn't, so he's not voting for anyone because if they used they cheated, and that is a stain on the game? I can't imagine his logic doesn't lead him there, and that's stupid. As has been said tons of times before, the history of baseball is rife with cheating, and the HOF is full of guys who openly cheated. But they're romanticised, and guys who may (or may not) have used PED's are damned because sportswriters now grew up with a silly romantic notion of baseball, and hate the fact that suspected cheaters broke the hallowed, sacred records they grew up revering. Throw the know cheaters out, don't add new cheaters in. I don't see how discouraging cheating "romanticizes" the sport. The problem is that the old cheaters are thought of as colorful. That's hyporcitical. Exactly. I wonder if this tool voted for Perry?
  16. Hendry is totally and deeply in love with Cesar Izturis. Why again must we wait to crucify him? I'm pretty much ready now. What would happen if Izturis plays well next season? Is this a trick question? Is the answer armageddon? Do I win a prize? If so, I prefer cash to gifts.
  17. You are correct, but it has nothing to do with your "pop" of choice. It has to do with the fact that the only thing you should mix with your whiskey is a very attractive woman.
  18. So $5MM and $7MM the first two years isn't bad. A lot like the deferred salary of Soriano. Leaving a lot of space open forthe next 2-3 years to get more people it seems It's the 2-3 years after the first 2-3 that are going to be a BIG problem. It's a lot of aging, good to mediocre talent that will be in a decline; while their salaries are on a major rise. It's going to hurt us no matter who owns this team.
  19. Maybe Jim has completely lost his mind and he's going to reveal his "Big Z and the four lefties" idea. Sign Zito and Lilly. Start Hill and Marshall. When questioned Jim responds, "well, it's obvious that these are quality arms, and we felt that you just simply could never have enough lefties."
  20. [fingers in ears] la la la la la, la la la la la, I cannot hear you. [fingers in ears]
  21. Not happening with the Cubs. He's played for three big-league managers and none of the three has been fond of him. His most recent manager was in the Cubs system as a coach. I'm sure they still talk. So no, he's not coming here. Bruce, we are going to need stats to understand what you are saying. No, I don't care about Batting Avg, HR's or even RBI's. Please help us understand what your saying with stats. All baseball executives are infallible. Beautifully stated.
  22. Agreed. A guy in my office said Michael Kay had Lou on his radio show for a half hour Friday. He was talking about getting a young bench. Floyd doesn't seem to fit that bill. But, if he was a bench guy, I'd live with it. He also said they have an offer out to Gary Mathews to play CF. GMj scares me. His 2006 was worthy of a $10 million deal, but his career screams 4th outfielder. He's just so inconsistent. He's been abysmal in some years, but has had some good years as well, only in hitters parks. I agree but Mathews would just cost money while another CF may cost players. If the Cubs have the cash let them spend it and keep their players old and young and then trade the players to aquire the guy they want. IMO, it leaves the resources free and open. Yes, if cash is limited then you do the player trade. I'd rather spend on FA than trade myself. But, Mathews is a guy capable of completely crapping the bed next year. I've heard he might get $10 million. To me, if Drew is getting $14 then you've got to take him over a $10m GMj. Every day of the week, and twice on Sundays, and four times on first Saturdays of the month. I think I'd prefer 100 games of Drew at 15 million than 162 for GMJ at 7 million.
  23. He also a better base runner and has better "clutch" numbers. That said, Howard winning wouldn't be a travesty. I think it would. Pujols is a much better all around player. Howard should not win this award. That being said, he will most definitely win now. :x
  24. So if Piniella wins the World Series this year with the Cubs, do you think it's automatic that he wins Manager of the Year? He'd likely be right there, since he'd have taken them from 66 wins up to aroung 90. Are you making fun of Ozzie again?
