  1. You guys do realize Wood has never won more than 14 games in a year, right? I keed, I keed.
  2. It does. We really suck is the translation.
  3. He has a TV, and he has watched the Cubs. A very intelligent man.
  4. Come on guys, don't worry. We're 14-10 and our offense has scored 8 runs in the last 32 innings. Even if they get shutout today, they will be averaging 2 runs per game, woohoo.
  5. Yeah, he's hurt. Out 6-8 weeks with a groin pull.
  6. Can I ask him why this team sucks so much, or does it have to be a question about him? We suck? We are holding our own dispite having 3 rookies in our rotation. What do you want? an offense? Jesus, you're so needy!!
  7. Yippee. More pitches up in the zone over the heart of the plate. My grandmother can hit that crap.
  8. Should we start throwing packs of Big Red on the field now?
  9. what'd he say? Basically that Dusty really hasn't been able to show his managing skills due to injury, and when "we" get healthy again he bring us to the "promiseland". Oh, and Dusty is a really good manager. You really had to hear; I'm not quite doing it justice.
  10. Who is watching the CSN feed? That could possibly be the most vile, pathetic load of crap I've ever heard. Was that guy told to read that off a cue card? That was a huge steaming pile that made me want to stab nyself in the eye with a rusty ice pick.
  11. 1-0 against the Pirates when you had bases loaded and no one out is truly pathetic, and unfortunately, very representative of this teams offense.
  12. Not that i'm really defending Jones, but would you have advocating sitting Cedeno after getting picked off of first essentially twice? Most definitely. That was worse than Jones stupidity. With this offense (and complete lack of bench), they don't have the luxury to be sitting players to send a message. At least Jock hits right handed pitching. Why? This offense is a giant turd anyways. The "hit" it would take would be too small to see.

  14. Sit Jones right now and send a message.
  15. This just in.....the Cubs are barely mediocre, and very frustrating to watch at times.
  16. He's alright, but he's no Mark Buehrle.
  17. Are you guys really ignoring the fact that they "got the pitcher on the ropes" in large part by swinging at his first pitch? Hitters with a threat to do something swung early, that doesn't excuse guys like Neifi and Blanco being overly aggressive. Were they good pitches to hit or not? That's all I care about. Considering they were pitches thrown by a human, I doubt they were good ones to hit for Neifi and Blanco. This suggest that either of them MAY be able to hit from a machine (ie batting cage) which is simply preposterous.
  18. What's he suppose to do? Everyone is screaming for him to take pitches from the lead-off spot. Swing at the good pitches, not so much the crap ones, REGARDLESS of the count.
  19. I really wish Pierre wouold start off with more 0-2 counts. It seems as though it's beneficial.
  20. Brewers fans give their players at least 15-20 games at the beginning of the year before they start booing them. Because of the unwavering fan support, Fielder has been able to turn the corner and become the hitting machine he was meant to be. He was teetering on the brink of success and could have gone either way, but luckily for him and his fellow Brewers, the fans gave him the patience he needed. Touche Psst. Dude, the word doesn't have a n "e" at the end. Just wanted to help you out before the spelling police got you.
  21. Anyone know the over/under on number of extra base hits by Carlos Lee today? I thought I read 36 somewhere, but that seems a little low.
  22. Same reason why there's very little chance that any other player is older than they say. Because there's ZERO evidence that he's older. None. Nada. Zip. Zilch. So, because there is currently no evidence (actually none, nada, zip, zilch); that means there's very little chance? Numerous criminal cases throughout the country remain unsolved due to little or no evidence, yet the crimes were still commited. Crazy, huh? I think I'm getting this sarcastic condescending thing down too. Exactly what evidence could there be beyond the possibility of poorly forged documents? Are we going to do carbon dating?
