  1. Well duh. If he ever sees an AB for the Cubs I'd be stunned. But we traded Craig Monroe for him so. oh yeah, anything more than a cheese sandwich for craig monroe and you've made out like a bandit. Yep; a cheese bandit.
  2. It's monkeys throwing their feces at a spinning weather chart.
  3. Looks like I need to empty every single bank and investment account I have and put it ALL on the over for this game. Oh wait....forget it. The O/U is set at 364.5 runs for this one.
  4. As far as I'm concerned (as a season ticket holder for the Tigers), when people stop asking to buy my extras and games i'm not going to; then it's time to start doubting. 8-[
  5. Is that THEE Luis Rivas? As in the 108 year old one?
  6. The year I won it, I was very pessimistic with my numbers. Sad, very sad.
  7. I'm sure he's too sensible to despair after four games. Plus, he's probably too busy enjoying the money. Let's see how sensible he is when it's 40 games in and nothing has changed. This offense looks an awful lot like the pathetic one we saw last year. He seems as though he may be a bit of a competitor, which leads me to believe he'll get frustrated very quickly with this bunch.
  8. How long before Fukudome starts wondering what the hell he got himself into?

  10. I think he finishes 2nd to Cueto ............................... I think he finishes a very distant 2nd to Cueto. 30 wins- 0 losses, 300 K's- 0 BB's and 0.14 WHIP I think we all know that Cueto's arm is going to fall off before he can win any awards, right Dusty? I know you were being facetious, but his throwing motion combined with Dusty is a recipe for injury. I see him being hurt in the near future.
  11. Only if it's white chocolate White chocolate hustles more. Maybe; but how does white chocolate handle the heat of summer?
  12. Kent Mercker Geovany Soto

  15. Quinlan hits a line drive down the RF line after Z hits Morales, Morales to third, Q out at second from FUku throw.
  16. Sorry folks, park's closed. The moose out front shoulda told ya.

Dempster The offense will continue to be offensive.
  18. Yes. I think so, given his position. Probably. Not a chance. He's nowhere near the numbers he needs (only 2117 hits & 332 hr), and there's nothing otherwise exceptional about his career. He's got the power numbers, but that's about it. Because there is nothing really exceptional about his career other than the power, I think he'd need to get to 500 to be given a lot of consideration. And even then, it seems likely that HOF voters are going to bump 500 up to 600 or something as THE power milestone, given the current offensive era. He should merit a lot more consideration than he probably will get. I'd vote for him. A 110 WARP3 for a runty outfielder is pretty badass. If Ozzie Smith is in, then Vizquel should be too. Their numbers are literally identical. The offensive era is probably going to hurt Omar though. This is ridiculous. Did you ever see Omar do flips out onto the diamond? I didn't think so. How can you compare the two? In addition, were you just badmouthing the Great Jim Rice? You're going straight to hell!! Did you not know he was the most feared hitter of his day? If you want to find out just ask any insufferable ***** of a Red Sox fan; they'll tell you.
  19. He did. You're just imagining this is happening; go back to sleep.
  20. If Theriot indeed gets "tons of pitches to hit," then he looks even worse considering he posted a whopping .672 OPS with all those great pitches to hit. The reason some people think that Cedeno can improve is that he's crushed the ball at AAA and winter ball and is three years younger. Theriot just turned 28. Being "scrappy" only gets you so far. BLASPHEMY!! Take it back!!!
  21. One of my best friends is from Boston, and is and always has been a diehard Red Sox, Celtics, Pats, and Bruins fan. He has become an insufferable (rhymes with stick). Boston fans.
  22. Don't worry, the Mods get paid by the page. What strange vocabulary is this? Are you making up words? :P $0 x 100 pages = $0 Wow, and I thought Soriano was overpaid.
