I agree with you that are concerned about the offense but I see our bulletin as the real problem. I don't know if Pedro would be willing to go to the bullpen but I like the idea of him being tried as a closer. He can't do any worse. I neither have confidence in Gregg nor Marmol. If Pedro is dead set on starting, how about puting Martinez in the starting rotation and moving Randy Wells to middle relief. What are your thoughts on the matter? Personally, if the Cubs signed Pedro it would be for the starting rotation, and then a move to the bullpen for the rest of the yr for both Wells and Marshall. I know you don't have confidence in Marmol, but I still do. Because outside of his control, Marmol's numbers are in line with last yr's numbers with slight differences. If you get the walks in check and Marmol goes back to McNasty. Gregg is the guy I don't trust at all. You get Marmol to trust his stuff and gt his walks in order, you move Wells and Marshall in the bullpen with Guzman and Ascanio and you eliminate Waddell and Patton from the bullpen, and you have the makings of a damn good bullpen. I know alot of ifs, but still the potential is there. The biggest problem is offense. Right now it is a vicious cycle. The offense can't score which makes the pitchers have to pitch better. But when the pitcher tries to hard and give up runs then they put the offense in a bad position. You get the offense fixed, and you almost will see instant improvement in your bullpen.
