  1. Pedro Martinez? #-o I forgot about Martinez, but since both Moyer and Martinez sucks at this point in their respective careers, I would almost basically have one piggy back the other.
  2. This all sounds like a ploy by Bobby Wade to get under the skin of the Bears. Blow it off and it will disappear very, very shortly.
  3. Steve is becoming a real tool. He was a big part of my childhood as I watch Cubs game, but I cannot believe this is the same guy. At this point, I think if I ever met Steve, I go Michael Barrett on him. You'll let him get by you and go to the backstop? Yeah...........that's what I meant.{shifty eyes). I would be to Stone, what Barrett was to AJ Alphabet.

  5. Even next yr, Wells will still be at best a 4th starter (behind Z/Lilly and Dempster) so unless you get a good offer for Wells in the offseason, I keep Wells cause he would be a very solud #4.
  6. Lee Hamels Blanton Happ Moyer A little LH dominated rotation ain't it?
  7. Doesn't make sense...who play CF; Soriano or Bradley? Not to mention that would be the most godawful defensive OF in the history of the game. I could buy it if it was Bradley and Stevens for Dunn, it doesn't make sense if it was Fukudome/Stevens for Dunn. .
  8. The Cubs really need to bring up a legit catcher. If for nothing else to give Hill a couple of games off to get his breathe.
  9. It wasn't that the umpire wanted the Cubs to win, it was simply the case of the Astros wanting to lose.
  10. I much rather see him do the Al Bundy "half Heisman Trophy/half olympic god" pose.
  11. From what I've heard negotiations between the Phillies and the Blue Jays have gotten cantankerous and that is the reason they stopped talking. If the Lee deal official goes down, then I simply do not see Philly acquiring Halladay. With that said, I expect Halladay to either stay with Toronto and is moved to Boston, who seem to making aggressive overtures at getting Doc.
  12. Someone say.........Wang? :-k http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JrBoOd7JQtk
  13. I felt the Dodgers were as overrated as any team could be. They got off to a hot streak maning to keep the momentum going during ManRam absense, and to me they haven't "put it together" since his return. So again, the Dodgers team was overrated because of their hot start.
  14. better now, then after game 162 where I expect the Cards to be.
  15. Why Heilman still have a job, I do not know. But the Cubs need to find a guy to replace Heilman.
  16. I don't think it will be. Tonight looks like a good night to have the last at-bat.
  17. It is not over guys.
  18. Tonight is a good night to have the last at-bat.
  19. I didn't see anything that was "ban worthy".
  20. Dempster is the kind of pitcher you don't reward a 4 yr deal to. I like Ryan, but the Cubs should have just let him walk.
  21. Besides Monte Kiffin and Dick LeBeau, Jim Johnson was one of the truly great defensive coordinators in the game. One of the best non head coach in the business. This sucks for Eagles fans.
  22. Considerng he's one of five Special Assistant to the GM's, it is safe to say Littlefield has little to no influence/power in the Cubs organization. I think the one special Assistant GM that Hendry listens to is Gary Hughes.
  23. Rick Wilkins did it in 1993. I stand correct. Thank you, Mojo.
  24. Last player to hit a walk off grand slam for the Cubs was Ellis Burton, 36 years ago against......wait for it....Houston Colt .45. :D http://www.baseball-reference.com/boxes/CHN/CHN196308310.shtml
