  1. But, but, but they way the played in preseason, I could have sworn they would be Super Bowl bound......
  2. Which isn't surprising given the fact that the Skins went after both Cutler then Sanchez in the off-season.
  3. my fantasy teams are extremely happy.... :D
  4. You're right. The Packers will have a 1 and a 0 for their record after tomorrow night, BUT the order of those numbers are abit hazy right now. Cutler .v. Rodgers is going to be crazy. I have a feeling that those two will be in a "top this" type of game tomorrow with their passes.
  5. And the only people who think the OT rules are unfair are fans. I haven't heard one football player come out and say he thinks the rules are unfair. I know McNabb didn't know there could be ties in the NFL. And we all know about the whole Jerome Bettis contreversy in Detroit. But I haven't seen or heard one player complain about the rules. So why is that? Because even the players don't have complaints about the rules. So unless the bring complaints to whatever committee they need to, the rules won't change nor should they change just because the fans think it is "unfair."
  6. The bottomline is this....these are men. If they can't "cowboy up", "man up", or whatever cliche macho statement that can come up with then they don't deserve to win the game. I could live with the NFL changing the OT rules to that if team A scores then team B has one last possession to tie or win the game. But if they don't chose to change the rules, then so be it.
  7. Is it an advantage to win the coin toss? Sure. Is it a "major" advantage? No. 60-40 is a major advantage.... It would only be a "major advantage" if the team that losses the coin flip can't stop the team that won it. Contrary to popular belief more times then not OT games are not decided on the first drive.
  8. Is it an advantage to win the coin toss? Sure. Is it a "major" advantage? No.
  9. It wasn't a Bears hat. The Bears didn't start using the wishbone "C" in any capacity until after the Cubs had worn it as a cap logo for a good decade or so already. True, but when people who are not familiar with that stat see it there first thought be "why is a cub player wearing a Bears hat?" Again, that uniform would be nice to see as the home uni.
  10. Completely agree ... the overtime system heavily favors the team that won the coin toss. It's not fair. This isn't college, thisn't is high school, this is the NFL. The Titans had 60 minutes to win the game and they didn't. Just because they didn't win the coin toss, or stop the Steelers when the needed too doesnt mean it's unfair. I truly doubt you'll hear any Titan player complain about th OT rules being unfair. The Titans didn't stop the Steelers in OT and that is ON them, an not the OT rules. The OT rules are fine.
  11. Oh my.....I never seen a better uniform then the unis they wore on the throwback game. I would very much would love to see those uniforms as the official home unis again. Not to mention when you can incorporate two of Chicago's franchises into on uniform+pure awesome. Bears hat plus Cubs uniform=muy bueno.
  12. I think Valverde goes to Philly in the offseason after Lidge blows the season for them.
  13. I like how Mangini is keeping the secret from his own team moreso keeping it secret from Minnesota.
  14. Stay classy St. Louis. http://www.rinawear.com/ http://www.rinawear.com/images/09/throw.gif The Cards fans do put the ass back in classless. Whatever. We have shirts that say such awesomely clever and notatall racist/homophobic/etc things as "Green Gay Fudge Packers," "Cardinals take it in their Poo Holes," "Cuck the Fardinals," "Pujols mows my lawn," "Brewers suck the sausage," and "Hey Cubs haters! FUKudome You! (with a big middle finger)" Like the OP in this quote said, there's idiots with access to t shirts everywhere. They arte just stupid shirts, regardless on who prints them.

  16. The missed extra point didnt force them to go for a TD Looking back at it, I agree. Settling for a FG at 4:12 forced them to go for a TD, after Miami scored, not the missed XP.
  17. Not very considering they went for two and got the two making the missed EP irrelevant. My bad guys, the missed xtra point played a part just not as big as I thought it did. FSU settling for a FG at 4:!2 had a bigger impact on the finish of the game instead of the missed xtra point. Oh well, too many good opportunities for FSU to win the game and they fail at it. Tough loss.
  18. How big is the missed xtra point by the FSU kicker earlier in the game look now?
  19. Well.............does Chone Figgins count? Cause he's IMO will be this offseason's "Milton Bradley's". If given the money, I think Hendry is going to focus all his energy into signing Figgins.
  20. He is now, and the Bears should be making that call. Jeff Garcia believes he is still a starter in this league, so I doubt he'll even listen to a call from the Bears.
  21. Yep. A tri-fecta of Ingram'/Upchurch and Richardson will be tough to stop once they get rolling. If Bama can get Maze, Hanks, Norwood, Bowman, Alexander, or anybody to be a productive WR alongside Julio, this offense will be fine. I love the fact that McElroy rebounded from a poor start to show he can be a SEC quality starter. The fact he did it against a Bud Foster defense is very impressive. Don't let the offensive stats fool you, VT has a heckuva defense. Alot of those yards came after Bama's OL started to wear them down. So I doubt we'll see VT defense give up nearly 500 yards of total offense again. But I have to say this....VTech REALLY needs Taylor to improve quickly or offensively they are in trouble, cause Ryan Williams looked quite good. This was a game that I didn't relax till AFTER the game went final. Thank god for two cupcakes in the next two weeks. Bama did some good things, but damnit to hell Rolando McClain can't be acting the fool like he did in the game. And Bama's special teams coverage needs to put their heads out of their arses, cause that is unacceptable. Watching McElroy and the OL mature over the course of the game makes me :) , but watching McClain go all crazy made me :banghead: cause that is that is out of his character. Overall good start but damn, I don't like having a BCS bowl game type intensity in the first game.
  22. I would hope. People used to talk about him like he was the most valuable player in the league, which he never was. Career OPS of .772. I'd rather wait on Castro. I love Starlin Castro, think he's the best prospect in the system, but he's not can't-miss and you don't hold a spot for him after 1/3 of a season at AA. Agreed. Go after Reyes, move Theriot over to 2b until Castro is ready (say 2011 at the earliest) and then trade Theriot when Castro is ready.
  23. You're right in that he is justified in his response, but the issue is that he followed the guidelines that IMO are considered outdated and need to be updated with these "new" stadiums.
  24. I could see that, but I doubt the Bears will send a 3rd round pick to the practice squad, and outside of Hester, Knox is the only potential down field threat on the Bears. I think both make the team, now Rideau on the other hand is a different story.
  25. Your better not. Better be wearing clothes......
