I'm ok with Lewan, though I thought the OT depth was enough that we didn't need to go after him in the first. Really wanted Anthony Barr, but with him and Gilbert gone and no surprises falling to us, I didn't have a problem with Lewan at all. He'll replace Roos after this season at LT. In the second round, if we were going to go RB, my preference was Sankey so I'm pretty happy about that. Going with a different position at 2 and then taking Andre Williams in the fourth would've been better, but I like Sankey a lot. Mettenberger was one of three QBs I wanted the Titans to go after - Aaron Murray and Logan Thomas were the other two. I like Mettenberger the least, but really only because of his off the field and health problems. I think he has a real chance to unseat Locker sometime this season, but all a chance to bust completely. Huge arm, prototypical size and decent enough mobility make him a worthwhile pick and I think he has the potential to keep us from having to take a QB in the first round next year. Overall, I'm pretty happy. A few slight issues here and there with who was taken, but I'll trust the FO and new coaching staff until they prove me differently. Yeah, I wanted Barr in the first. I don't know, the more I think about it, the more I don't really like the Lewan pick. So many other areas of need. He probably won't start this year. I like the Sankey pick. Needed a new RB. Also loved the DaQuan Jones pick, as a Penn Stater myself. He is a great plug on the line. I had Metternberger in mind but I didn't think he would slip that far. It's a great value pick. I'm on the Locker bandwagon still, but this gives Locker a year to prove it and Mettenberger a year to learn the offense and get his s--t together.
