  1. The Rockies' leader in ERA among starting pitchers this season? Chris Rusin.
  2. LeMahieu is still garbage. He's been terrible since his BABIP-happy April. He's not a bad hitter and plays great defense, but he totally LaHair'd this appearance with an insane start to the season.
  3. Not a trade rumor but FOX Sports' Ken Rosenthal reports that the Cubs are expected to target Howie Kendrick over the offseason. They'll have to free up the logjam on their infield first, which likely would involve trading Starling Castro. Rosenthal notes that the Dodgers could attempt to re-sign Kendrick, and the Yankees would be a possible landing spot, as well. Kendrick, who will turn 32 on Sunday, is batting .292/.342/.416 with seven homers and 36 RBI this season. I like Kendrick and all but I'm not sure 2B is what should be prioritized.
  4. Well that's quite a tumble for him http://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2015/06/pirates-designate-jose-tabata-for-assignment-2.html Still just 26.
  5. A couple of ex-Cubs on the move. The Dodgers have outrighted infielder Darwin Barney to Triple-A, according to MLB.com’s official transactions page. Barney was designated for assignment on Friday to create 40-man roster space for the newly-acquired Ronald Torreyes. Barney has only appeared in two big league games in 2015, and he has struggled to a .214/.273/.259 slash line over 121 Triple-A plate appearances.
  6. Are you Schlitting me? I'll show myself out now. Seriously though, he sucks.
  7. Um, has anyone noticed how insane the back end of the Yankees' pen has been? Andrew Miller: 1.08 ERA, .072 WHIP, .094 BAA, 40 strikeouts in 25 innings Dellin Betances: 0.00 ERA, 0.75 WHIP, .103 BAA, 49 strikeouts in 29.1 innings
  8. What an odd trade for the DBacks. They were so gung ho about acquiring Trumbo. Now how many OF/1B/DH types do the Mariners have on that roster?
  9. What the..... It's like remaking a movie with CGI....Did Michael Bay direct this remake? Seriously, though, looks good, will just take some getting used to. Was kinda jarring to see after all these years.
  10. http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/mlb-big-league-stew/reds-fans-start-petition-to-send-kevin-gregg-to-triple-a-after-poor-outing-042920808.html
  11. Good depth move. He's been pretty effective for the Braves the past few years. Anything that has the chance at keeping Schlitter in AAA.
  12. Fun early season stats: DJ LeMahieu leads the majors in batting average Luis Valbuena is tied for 4th in the AL in home runs Rizzo is tied for 4th in the NL in stolen bases and leads the majors in OBP
  13. Black and Rivero. I like Black's upside, but what do I know? I really don't get the sudden Sczcur love. He did have a great ST but he wouldn't even be in discussion right now if not for that. Maybe he can be a decent 4th OF but I think that's his best case scenario.
  14. I think there's a baseball game on tonight so I might watch that.
  15. Maybin and Quentin for Upton is a bit of a wash. Swap of bad contracts. If you take those out, it's Kimbrel for Wisler, Paroubeck and the 41st pick in the draft. It's not terrible for the Braves, though they could've gotten more. And man are the Padres gonna be amusing to watch this year.
  16. Talk about selling low. Cahill had a FIP under 4.00 last year and is still 27.
  17. In case anyone was keep tracking of our Rule 5 guys we lost:
  18. OK, so which of Bryant's home runs will be the one to break the video board? Or does Soler beat him to it?
  19. Need to sell tickets to that Cape May Courthouse crowd just looking for an excuse to get to the Bank! Well they just announced they're serving hard liquor at concession stands this season. Gotta put people in the seats somehow. Last year me and some friends sat lower level along the 3rd base line for a game against the Mets and tickets were like $30. Eagles chants were already starting. It was June.
