  1. Not insulted as much as somewhat flabbergasted. So that did happen, right?
  2. Why so you say LB? Granted Anderson and Williams are one year deals, but we're deeper than we've been in years, including with youth. Definitely agree on DL and CB though. You can always use LB bodies though. Special teams takes up a few and given the body type that Emery covets, big fast freaks, LB is easy to take. Also, Briggs is 33 this season. I wouldn't be surprised if he's not on the Bears next season, and would be surprised if he is on the Bears in 2015. They may be deep today, but that depth is easily eroded.
  3. The odds of that happening are very low. He's going to get a big offer. He's finally settling in with a competent offensive coach after first dealing with McDaniels then all the Bears rejects. The Bears have the franchise tag. It's just not a huge risk.
  4. Last offseason. I think Emery is more than willing to let this season play out and then pay Jay accordingly. If he wins the Super Bowl, he gets a Flacco deal. If he comes up short, he gets something less.
  5. What a fracking douche. I'll take the misunderstood serial killer leading our team every time over that nutjob.
  6. Did you see how pissed he was when he won yesterday?
  7. He might be dead on that cart.
  8. Jiggets and miller talking about cutler makes me sick
  9. Prior to a couple years ago his accuracy was protected by a lack of distant chances. Yeah, but the dude is that accurate kicking half his games in Soldier Field. ETA - he's actually fifth all time in accuracy, I guess. It's an era where all kickers are more accurate. Historical ranking doesn't mean much. And lovie never tried 50 until maybe 2 year ago. Some guys have been doing that forever. Plus, pro bowls only take one kicker.
  10. Prior to a couple years ago his accuracy was protected by a lack of distant chances.
  11. I think trestman cutler will be the greatest romance of our generation.
  12. And then they turn to Wright and talk to him about...Cutler running over that dude. When he wins a ring the narrative is going to be how he learned from the NFC Championship and how it taught him how to be a leader and all that [expletive]. I will be too drunk to notice so it won't bother me.
  13. Spent the day at the local steelers bar. Had a great burger. Good times.
  14. I thought they did 2 years or so ago Beat tampa
  15. There's the Briggs I know and love
  16. Because he's an offensive genius? You come up with silly reasons to justify dismissing all the examples that prove it is not a necessity. But it clearly is not
  17. Eh, bb and dungy did fine. Coughlin is no offensive mastermind, neither was cowher/tomlin. The continuity comes at qb, not hc or oc. It helps but is hardly mandatory
  18. Gregg took it as a demotion rather than experimentation. He also earned $500k bonus for finishing yesterday. Very entitled veteran reaction mixed with excessive losing messing with the guys heads.
  19. Arizona has proven time and time again they don't like fence jumpers
  20. Of course it's a thing, what it is not is the greatest thing that has ever happened to football.
  21. I mean non morons. There were a lot of people who knew Tebow sucked, because they weren't morons, but also thought Brian Kelly was doing something knew and revolutionary and nobody would be able to stop it. He didn't get the job. I get those chubby micks confused all the time.
  22. Is there anybody who has been a big Jason Garrett believer besides Jerry Jones?
  23. I mean non morons. There were a lot of people who knew Tebow sucked, because they weren't morons, but also thought Brian Kelly was doing something knew and revolutionary and nobody would be able to stop it.
  24. *cough*Tebow*cough* Oh, come on, people realized he sucked. Apparently, people realize that about Philly's offense, too. They didn't a week ago. People knew Tebow would be an NFL flop when he was still in college.
