After the bye they have 4 consecutive noon scheduled starts. 3 on a Sunday -
Kane is hurt and won’t be in the upcoming three game road trip. Boucher was recalled and Byram on injured reserves to make room. It’s retroactive to 10/15 since he’s been out two weeks already and soon to be three plus. a very not deep team is about to get steamrolled in Florida

The NFC South hopefuls are streaking, with 2 straight wins against divisional foes despite their qb throwing like 5 times for 7 yards. They’ve run the ball against crappy teams and the Bears have struggled against the run, sort of, but have made a major upgrade in their interior DL. theoretically, Chicago should go into the bye week with a relative cake walk. But this is the NFL and everybody is good enough to make things difficult for even the best teams. bears 33-9

Fun fact: Bedard has played more games than Byram this season. The Blackhawks self titled number 1 D is still not back in the lineup.

Kind of surprising but Tampa is probably a team poised to take a step back for a few years after a decade of being great.

There’s so much smoke about the Blackhawks making a trade that I’d be shocked if we don’t see a new face in town by the time they return from their next road trip. Maybe nothing happens before the Avalanche game on Monday, but when they play Buffalo on 11/12 I’d bet something meaningful changes. it feels like Davidson may actually be willing to trade their own first round pick, maybe with only top 3/4/5 protection. They traded 4th this year of a guy they perceive as a #1 d. They could get something similar for their top pick while maintaining optionality for a guy that could be Landon DuPont if they win the lottery. Who? I don’t know but the next Matthew Knies is probably out there somewhere, maybe even the actual one. Knies hasn’t done anything in Columbus yet. They could pretty much use anything. A real number 1 d would be ice, but any forwards with scoring ability + size would also fit. and they might as well consider the goalie situation. Knight is a fine #1 goalie, but he’s isn’t going to win them games on their own. Is there a contender still looking for a #1 goalie? Buffalo and Carolina were rumored to be in on Helleybuyck, would they want to get in on a more affordable Knight? they could be a team that facilitates a Dylan Larkin trade. something is going to happen soon.

If you’re gonna trade away two firsts it helps to have a franchise qb in house -
Yeah, you’d think somebody like Nazar is at risk of being sent out if they are trading for anybody of consequence. Davidson and Blashill are desperate for offense. Frank plays a 200 foot game and could be an excellent defense first center. But he struggles to finish scoring opportunities. And he’s as small as half their roster. Nazar for some bigger offense first forward could happen but might not make senses

Oh yeah? Curious where that’s coming from. this team needs a solid RHD. I’m not sure what a shoot first scoring winger is in terms of attainable players. They don’t have cap room since they overpaid Kane and Byram by obscene amounts.
