    Wyatt Kaiser is going to be skating soon. Rinzel and Korchinski are up practicing with the team now and both could potentially play in the first game back. But you have to assume at least one gets sent down if/when Kaiser is back unless Grzelcyk/Murphy gets traded soon.

    I’d prefer 4v4. It’s gonna be fast but less individually focused. even if you go for 10 minutes then 3v3 first whistle after 10.

    The bears rent accounts for a smaller portion of revenue than people think. There’s 8 dates you’d have to fill and now no conflicts with bears insisting it stays unused in the fall. It’s also an incredibly unique venue from a national perspective that people want to see. I would also like to see it turned into public parkland, but they are going to try and bleed revenue from it.

    Wasn’t it largely based on two bad starts to end the season? Fans half jokingly were thankful that Darnold turned into a pumpkin at the end to prevent them from making the mistake of signing him. if they win one playoff game they probably sign him

    That’s a good spot for him. Solid head coach at the helm but not a guy involved with offense. Nagy should be able to run the show on his own with some decent pieces. If Giants/Dart progress he could be in the hunt for HC job as soon as next year, but with 10 new guys this round and a bunch of extensions announced already, may be more likely that jobs open up after 2027 season

    I was able to catch the third last night. So I missed most of the scoring but did see the Donato/Dickinson/Mikheyev line looking solid. Two of those three might be with the team the next couple years, maybe with Teuvo as a third line. Bedard, Nazar, Frondell, Kantserov, Lardis, Bertuzzi are probably the front runners for top 6 duty next year, with Burakovsky/Teuvo as the next man up for whichever kid starts slow. With three of those 6 kids not currently producing at nhl level you have to expect some speed bumps. Two of those guys are currently 20 goal scorers. Nobody else is likely to get there this year, unless Donato heats up. You’d like to get 5 who at least flirt with it.

    I think probably, and now they have called up Rinzel with only three games before the trade freeze. So arty might go down soon or Murphy may he gone

    So does this mean the coach wanted to keep Darnold but he overruled him? Because that organizations demise was definitely moving to JJM and I have to assume the coach was on board.

    Their near/intermediate future is tied to their current QB. I see nothing wrong with giving him a coach he’s comfortable working with and either sink or swim. If it doesn’t work, it will probably be time to move on from Allen and the HC (and GM) all at the same time in 3-4 years. You can trade him in his final year(s) of contract and start from scratch. needle moving head coach moves are for teams in desperate need of change. Buffalo just needs improvement, not an overhaul.

    Buffalo wasn’t a team that needed an overhaul. They need to get over a hump. Brady’s been a candidate for a while. They have their QB. I think this makes sense

    Lardis sent back to Rockford, mostly to make space for other healthy guys but also to allow him to play in AHL all star game
