    Their near/intermediate future is tied to their current QB. I see nothing wrong with giving him a coach he’s comfortable working with and either sink or swim. If it doesn’t work, it will probably be time to move on from Allen and the HC (and GM) all at the same time in 3-4 years. You can trade him in his final year(s) of contract and start from scratch. needle moving head coach moves are for teams in desperate need of change. Buffalo just needs improvement, not an overhaul.

    Buffalo wasn’t a team that needed an overhaul. They need to get over a hump. Brady’s been a candidate for a while. They have their QB. I think this makes sense

    I have no interest whatsoever in bringing back Keenum unless they are trading Bagent. Caleb’s cap hit goes up next year and you don’t need to be spending millions on multiple backups. It’s a terrible waste of resources

    The dodgers have 3 titles in the past 30+ years. The Yankees had 4 in 5 years and added a 5th a decade later. They haven’t won a title since Obamas first year in office. this too shall pass

    I don’t know if I’d describe this as unprecedented. College hockey is mostly small schools in niche parts of Massachusetts, Michigan and Minnesota. There’s only a handful of traditional big powers that even have a team, let alone a good one. the Blackhawks head coach once coached at WMU before moving on to the nhl and the WMU coach has worked for Blashill in Detroit. It’s definitely a thing that happens and with all the turnover in the hockey coaching world there will always be a spot.

    This isn’t a varsity team playing JV. It’s a team of professional baseball players playing against other professional baseball players with an ownership committed to winning more than maximizing profit margins

    The one condition that may supersede weather is the Bears defense facing a very good offense. I really don’t think cold by itself eliminates the potential for points

    The guys where everything works out accelerates the countdown to the 2nd contract. Everybody else accelerates the end of their career. He’s attempted 600 passes in college. He’s played one full season plus a partial. Caleb had three full seasons as a starter and over 1,000 attempts. And going first overall isn’t exactly a guarantee you get a second contract. You’re better off going to a better team in a better situation unless you are the clear cut best overall prospect at the position and luck into your team hiring a superstar HC.

    NIL payments make it much easier to stay in school and work on your game before jumping into the deep end of the nfl in the long run it’s likely beneficial to come back

    I don’t think Marvin Lewis was terrible. He had a pretty good run with two second/third rate franchise QBs in Palmer and Dalton. Maybe they should have pulled the trigger the first time he missed the playoffs after that streak, but they were coming off a streak of truly terrible coaching and results after Sam Wyche left and he righted the ship.
