  1. Its 48 degrees there? Jesus I had no idea it was so cold at this time of year
  2. nows not the time to be making web gems, this game needs to end
  3. alright, hit like 7 homers in a row because its cruel enough that you had a rain delay in this game
  4. I've seen enough, I already prefer him to Travis Wood ;)
  5. How do we make sure he doesn't get a meaningful inning in the playoffs because we all know if left to his own devices Joe Maddon will use him
  6. This is gonna be a many dong game by both sides isn't it
  7. What if it works though? (Lol)
  8. The amount of joy it would bring me to watch him step into the batters box at any point this year would be too much. Thus, it will not happen. But Jesus if he did.
  9. lol i'm getting so much schadenfreude from the death of the mets
  10. The only real bummer is that we will only get a few glimpses of the True Bullpen of Doom during the regular season but that's fine with me if we can get Strop and Rondon 100% before the postseason. Figure out all the junk you got out there in the next 40 games. Can Theo and Jed somehow put Travis Wood on phantom DL before the postseason so Joe isn't tempted to use his golden boy again and again? There are approximately 7 relievers and 2 left handers that are better than him now on the roster
  11. This would be ideal but I really don't think they'll be able to hold onto Dex. And Dex leaving does make things a lot easier in the outfield. (Though a Bryant/Soler/Contereras - Dex - Heyward outfield is way better defensively than a Schwarber - Heyward/Almora - Soler outfield, but it is what it is)
  12. This year has been extremely illustrative for me on why drafting pitchers seems like a bad idea always just let the rest of the league be your collective farm system
  13. Any other year I'd be like "oh, Hendricks in Coors worries me" but not this year. Dude is rock solid, gonna shut those fools down. I hope some of the more dongless can get a little healthier here. Zobrist hasn't had one in a while, Heyward is perpetually dongless, get in that thin air and do some work boys.
  14. I just saw Jayson Werth has a 46 game on base streak. I thought he was pretty cooked as a player when we last played them, and I when I went to look at his numbers I expected to see them vastly improve, what with the streak and all, but he still only has a 108 OPS+. That means he must have been extremely consistently just OK for 46 straight games.
  15. we're like 4-5 bad pitches from having 22 in a row
  16. I miss ragin' Ted Lilly, the soft-spoken bad ass
  17. They have sucked mightily since the break. The Dodgers starters are putting up around. 5.00 era since the break and have still passed SF in the standings The Mets, Giants and Dodgers all taking turns being bad makes me feel really good at the NL. All of these things can only play incremental roles in our chances in the playoffs, but I'll take increments, damnit
  18. someone replace that "100 years Morty" rant from Rick and Morty but make it about Kris Bryant Thank you
  19. i'll take it eternal humiliation to the brewers
