  1. Not to get this to be too political, but it is very funny the GOP is making shoveling hundreds of millions of dollars to a billionaire family (with almost nothing in return!) as a huge political "win" for them
  2. I look forward to getting some sort of strange, obscure cancer from attending a Bears game in an abandoned steel mill
  3. i do have to say i'm impressed at how much bad blood the Bears organization has manufactured over something as silly and inconsequential as building a stadium. They've almost perfectly managed to look as stupid, craven and greedy as possible. Bravo.
  4. 1. I still don’t believe them 2. I don’t care if they move to Hammond. Go. Who cares
  5. Yes “a Jared Verse” any player possibly comparable that the Rams would be interested in, correct
  6. I dont know if we have a Jared Verse on the roster, but if the price was a Verse-esque player, a 1st round pick, a 2nd next year and a 3rd the following year.... I'm considering it for the Bears. It probably immediately puts them in Super Bowl conversation. But it's a risk for a year or two window, no doubt.
  7. 25 years of being Bears fan and the thing that's pissed me off more than the decades of football incompetence and never being able to find a QB or renovating a stadium that was smaller than the one that previously sat there and etc. etc. are these stupid stadium shenanigans. I'm so bored with it. Stop it! I'm bored! Just declare you're building on Arlington Heights. It makes me keep thinking about Brandon Johnson, who I don't really want to think about, or Indiana, which I also don't really ever want to think about! You're pissing me off!
  8. i think the cubs should consider winning, instead of losing
  9. Limitations of numbers is less of a problem than it used to be now that they've relaxed the rules on what numbers you can use. Honestly, I do think they should retire Urlacher's number. He is an all-time great.
  10. I may shell out and go to Lambeau for the first time for that Oct 11th game. horsefeathers it. Let’s roll.
  11. As far as schedules go, I’m as pleased as can be. Starts pretty light (if teams are roughly what they were last year, and they never are) and then gets tougher by the end. we have a tough schedule this year, but I don’t hate the way it’s lined up for us.
  12. The 2026 Cubs unlocked the secret of how to get the baseball gods to shine down on you and it’s to injure as many pitchers as possible. None shall stand when we’re done. Receive our tribute, O Gods!
  13. this team is RIDICULOUS. god. so much has gone wrong with the roster and yet... so much has gone right in the games.
  14. I worry that Poles in general is a bit too complacent about the defensive line. This idea that "hey, we have such a good secondary that we can afford to give QBs more time back there" is... it feels completely disconnected from how modern football works. This isn't 1995. The rules have changed, DBs are far more limited in what they can do, and passing offenses and QBs are far more precise and well-oiled. You give any half-decent QB any time and they will find a guy. That's just how it is. There's no lockdown coverage, it's not allowed in the rules and passing offenses can get around it. The math isn't there, you can't do it. The only thing you can do to stop good QBs is to get pressure on them. It's a philosophical problem for how they've built this defense.
  15. It would suck to start the year in Seattle but what can you do, thats what you get punished with when you get a good season. I remain mildly disappointed with the draft but also, what can you do. I have to assume (and I don't like it) that they feel like when they get Dayo and Shemar healthy they feel good about this D-Line. I don't. But clearly, they do. I like how Booker has developed. Dexter is a good pass rushing D-tackle. Sweat had a good year, especially towards the end. But Sweat is a year older, Dayo and Shemar are coming off devastating injuries, and everyone else are pretty much bums and replacement level. I expect a very fun year, but I also fear the defense could get real ugly if we don't get the 3 turnovers a game we were getting last year.
  16. Am I puzzled that they still haven’t addressed DLine af all? Absolutely. But I trust Ben Johnson implicitly.
  17. Definitely didn’t see a TE there. Don’t love that they’re going “Adeyingbo is Motivated” as the solution on the Dline, but a lot of their targets were gone. theyre definitely putting their eggs in the “our offense will be beastly and hopefully our defensive backs make some plays” as a strategy
  18. Kevin Warren is an annoying blowhard who seems to be really bad at his job, but I also think he had some part to play in the Bears firing the previous dullard and hiring Ben Johnson so I can't entirely hate him.
  19. Not super exciting but a very good pick. We are desperate for pass rush, but I know they’ll hit that tomorrow. It’s good to get the safeties locked down. Let’s go.
  20. people say this all the time and i have never in my life felt that way about a game a team i support wins. they all feel amazing (except if there's a career threatening injury that occurs during it)
