  1. It would suck to start the year in Seattle but what can you do, thats what you get punished with when you get a good season. I remain mildly disappointed with the draft but also, what can you do. I have to assume (and I don't like it) that they feel like when they get Dayo and Shemar healthy they feel good about this D-Line. I don't. But clearly, they do. I like how Booker has developed. Dexter is a good pass rushing D-tackle. Sweat had a good year, especially towards the end. But Sweat is a year older, Dayo and Shemar are coming off devastating injuries, and everyone else are pretty much bums and replacement level. I expect a very fun year, but I also fear the defense could get real ugly if we don't get the 3 turnovers a game we were getting last year.
  2. Am I puzzled that they still haven’t addressed DLine af all? Absolutely. But I trust Ben Johnson implicitly.
  3. Definitely didn’t see a TE there. Don’t love that they’re going “Adeyingbo is Motivated” as the solution on the Dline, but a lot of their targets were gone. theyre definitely putting their eggs in the “our offense will be beastly and hopefully our defensive backs make some plays” as a strategy
  4. Kevin Warren is an annoying blowhard who seems to be really bad at his job, but I also think he had some part to play in the Bears firing the previous dullard and hiring Ben Johnson so I can't entirely hate him.
  5. Not super exciting but a very good pick. We are desperate for pass rush, but I know they’ll hit that tomorrow. It’s good to get the safeties locked down. Let’s go.
  6. people say this all the time and i have never in my life felt that way about a game a team i support wins. they all feel amazing (except if there's a career threatening injury that occurs during it)
  7. my decision so far this season to not watch every single game is looking incredibly vindicated i'll peek back in when they go on a heater. my condolences to everyone here, this season so far looks extremely irritating
  8. team giving me a lot of "I hate this team" vibes will change once they win a few in a row
  9. approach today is driving me horsefeathers insane i want my big beautiful offense of early 2025
  10. Miguel Amaya if you want to be the Carson Kelly of 2026 I’m good with it
  11. Seems like a steal for his prime years. Less than $20 mil per for a guy who could go off and have some absolute monster years if his bat gets more consistent.
  12. This is all distorted to make it seem worse than it is: Nahshon Wright wasn’t a starter, he was your 4th corner who played well, the linebacker in question was outplayed by his back up (and we signed someone who’s also pro bowl quality for cheaper) the receiver was our 3rd or 4th option by the end of the season and we got a 2nd round pick for hin, we signed a younger safety who was on the best defense to replace the older one. the only things I’m not happy with (yet!) is how we’re replacing Trapilo and Dalman, both unforeseen and unplanned losses. But we haven’t even gotten a week into FA or into the draft yet. I’m not shocked they didn’t have big moves to help those areas yet.
  13. Would have loved Byard back, but I'm not too gutted he's gone. Feels like the market spoke on Nahshon Wright's value: all 32 teams basically think his season last year was a fluke. Let's hope they're right, because he could have been gotten back for real cheap. (I do think Tyrique is a better all-around corner than him, and I hope he isn't in the doghouse for no reason).
  14. Las Vegas I’m offering you a single 2!~ for the very damaged goods of Maxx Crosby, we’ll figure out a way to salvage his ruined career, thank you
  15. Ok, this guy might actually be very good. If we can somehow hold onto Byard I really like our secondary+linebackers.
  16. I don't love our biggest splash FA-wise being a Safety, but we'll see. Hendrickson got $190 million at age 32 and I don't love that either. Free agency is tough because you are by definition overpaying for people, and usually people after their prime. You can get Edges and D-Tackles in the draft. Get the right couple of guys.
  17. Why are we in love with mediocre Colts defensive linemen?
  18. Smart move, he was playing on the same level as Edmunds (or even better) and he's like 20 million dollars cheaper.
  19. They were like the 27th ranked Defense. It cannot be worse. When both of their 20 million dollar linebackers were out D'Marco Jackson came in and immediately looked better than either of them. I really, purely cannot believe they can look worse. I'm fully prepared to have this be quoted at me next year, and make me look like a fool. And I invite it.
  20. Obviously nothing is guaranteed but the Bears are very squarely in their window right now. Let the official offseason actually begin and let them go through FA and the draft. There's no way the defense is worse than last year, and despite the Dalman loss, I don't see the offense regressing either. As long as they avoid the injury bug (always a concern) they're part of the class of the NFC.
