    I think someone has said the Cubs have an 1.100+ OPS in bases loaded situations and that tells me a lot about confirmation bias because it certainly feels to me that they've been much much worse. But I'm a fallible human being, prone to lapses and superstition

    Christ what a rough couple years for that guy He had a two month stretch that was one of the most painful stretches I've ever seen (worse than Heyward) and he keeps getting season ending injuries Get that poor guy off the Marlins that place is kryptonite for good players

    i hate the cardinals. i hate everything about them. i hate them with my life. i hate how they always pick crappy white guys who don't have any talent and then hey hit for an .850 ops and then do nothing else once they leave the team. i hate their attitude. i hate their fans. i hate that they always have some kind of crooked horseshoe up their butts. i hate that they've had a much better front office and farm system than the cubs for a very long time until recently. i hate playing them. i hate every comeback they have against us. and i cherish every victory we have against them i'm very care right now about a game that literally doesn't matter. the cardinals can make that happen to me.

    Again just very fitting as this is the exact same thing that happened 2 weeks ago to Seattle. Splitting a series at home sucks but whatever. Still time to come back and win this one I have to read this to myself a bunch and take some deep breaths. These last two games don't matter at all. Splitting the series is all the work we needed to do. Blowing 2 two run leads in a row really sucks though. It really, really sucks.
