    I just got home from my first Brazilian Steakhouse experience so i'm gonna lay on my couch feeling bloated and yelling at the Cubs

    It's kind of interesting how every single one of our rapid bullpen/starter acquisitions wasted absolutely no time to announce their suckiness. Brian Matusz, Mike Montgomery and Joe Smith were garbage the second they took the mound. I guess we can thank them for that?

    god looking at those numbers I'd be furious if I was a White Sox fan. every year, same story, same terrible patchwork job trying to put together a team that could maybe fight for a wild card, and another year wasted of Chris Sale and Quintana. Good job White Sox front office!

    eh it is what it is. sucks to lose the winning streak, sucks to lose it to the cardinals. But even if they lose tomorrow they accomplished what they needed to do this series and the division is firmly within their death grasp

    Yes, I'm sure Chapman wouldn't literally walk off the field, but Joe also is trying to do his best to respect his wishes, its a complicating situation.

    Lets not get rose colored glasses for Joe Nathan, who had a 2 WHIP in those 3 innings and magicked his way into scoreless appearances

    Chapman has refused to pitch in non save situations? He's said he really doesn't like to pitch in those sort of situations and Joe said he would do his best not to use him in such situations

    I have a lot of sympathy for Maddon in that spot at least, even if I think he handled it poorly. He's without Strop and Rondon - Chapman has refused to pitch in such a situation. Everyone else kinda sucks.
