Talked with my friend who's on the Cubs social media team: they're planning a Javy Baez focused highlight reel, so be excited for that

All in all, another good start from Kyle who got dinked and dunked for some runs but also K'ed 9 dudes and walked nobody
  3. BigSlick
    Score more runs

    Jake.....
  5. BigSlick
Yeah I don't see a way La Stella gets a 3b start with both Bryant and Baez available there and as was said, Soler playing some damn good baseball
  6. BigSlick
Jesus Christ how bad can La Stella get at third before he's denied the privilege of playing there
  7. BigSlick
There you go Jake. Just keep it free and easy

Last I checked Cogs has been a net positive as a Cubs (owing to, bizarrely, his defense this year), I do like how he's gotten on base. I don't see how he makes the playoff roster though.

The more I think about it, the more I'm completely satisfied with the Cardinals missing the playoffs to the Mets and Giants. It really puts an exclamation point on who's division this is for the forseeable future (ours), and they have no chance to redeem themselves after last year. Cubs may lose to the Mets again and that could potentially suck, but their rotation is a shadow of what it was last year. And the Giants, well, I have less emotional ties to that team, other than their connection to the Devil and Even Year Black Magic

lol Lester is being interviewed on the Score and he totally dropped a "everyone gives a horsefeathers" and there was no way they could censor it

It's a very tiny thing, but it is neat the Cubs gave themselves a win to celebrate the division title (and I'm listening to it and it sounds pretty raucous)

Vin Scully is fine you heathens
  13. BigSlick
Miggy is figuring out the bat just in time for the playoffs, which is good
  14. BigSlick
Nice. I like how well Montero has swung the bat lately This'll...be fine for celebrating for the NL Central championship

lol the cubs tied it up? lol baseball rules
  16. BigSlick
Don't worry we also have 6 games against the plaintive Reds, who I'm sure our mixed A and B teams can handle
  17. BigSlick

  18. BigSlick
    hit a donger, Rossy
  19. BigSlick
    Almora you god damn idiot
  20. BigSlick
i had to look it up because i felt like i was getting emotional about nothing, and i was, because the Brewers are only 6-10 against the Cubs It just feels like they've been more annoying than they have been
  21. BigSlick
nobody who is named "scooter" should be a major league player
  22. BigSlick
Can Soler actually play an extended period of time without having some soft tissue injury or is he literally a precious antique china doll
  23. BigSlick
    give me the lead
  24. BigSlick
Nice. Nice. I so want Albert Almora to be a useful offensive player because if he isn't totally worthless with a bat : he's an extremely valuable player
  25. BigSlick
    wrong thread! of course
