  1. If the Cards do this and sign Byrd, no one else will win the division for many years to come.
  2. Bulls return home to the UC tonight to face Orlando at 8:30 pm ET. For the Bulls: Duhon Hinrich Nocioni Sweetney Chandler For the Magic: Steve Francis DeShawn Stevenson Hedo Turkoglu Dwight Howard Tony Battie
  3. Right now, ESPN has Jerome Harrison from Wazzu listed as 5th. But that is total crap. I can't believe Drew Olson is not in the 5 spot there at least. [rant]And while we're on the subject, Brady has over 300 more yards, plenty more TDs, and the same amount of INTs, and while Leinart has the ND "drive" to help him out, Quinn outplayed Leinart in that game, and he also led the MSU comeback (albeit in a loss) and the Stanford comeback, whereas Leinart has had comparatively smooth sailing for most of the year, and in the games that have been close, it's been the Reggie Bush Show. So why is it that not one voter on ESPN's Heisman thing has Brady ahead of Leinart? I can understand having him behind Leinart overall but not one person rates him better?[/rant]
  4. That is a lot of looneys and twoneys the Jays are spending! IMO Toronto is one of the most beautiful cities in America. Agreed. Seconded. And Giles will think so double as much if that ludicrous 5/55 offer is true.

  6. * - if they miss three FGs or are an absolutely terrible team
  7. My grandparents live in Logansport. Boring town, how did you survive? :D
  8. I'd bet on that one. You know when one of Teixeira/Soriano/M. Young/Blalock leaves Texas that someone will overpay for him without looking at park factors.
  9. I hate that as well, but I would hate the Colts going undefeated just as much, especially since I am moving to Indy in a few weeks. It's bad enough hearing about it in Ft Wayne, I can't imagine what it is like down there. Adam, I'd venture that at least 40 percent of Ball State is Colts fans, it's been pretty bad down here. Plus, two of my good friends from home are Colts fans and rag on me every week about how "bad" Carolina is at 8-3.
  10. Do you consider 18-1 undefeated? Then no. There's a significant chance they can go 16-0, but I still think that Cincy, Chicago or Carolina can potentially beat them in a playoff matchup. I highly doubt Chicago could beat them. If they came to play like they did against my Panthers they could beat just about anybody.
  11. I'm honestly starting to believe we will get neither.

  13. Well thanks for trying anyway :D And we'll try to prove we belong against O$U. I know there are more than a few on this forum who would love seeing the Buckeyes go down almost as much as watching ND lose.
  14. Is the question for 16-0 or 19-0?
  15. They won't be picking OSU over PSU in any case. It seems likely that it will go: Fiesta picks ND, Orange picks PSU, then Fiesta picks OSU. Only because it had the joke Big East champ in Pittsburgh pitted against a very good Utah team that should have been playing Auburn in a second battle of unbeatens.
  16. Alright, that settles it. We don't have Mabry.
  17. Reason: He's getting only one million, and he's still better than most of the scrubs on our bench currently.
  18. Hmmm. This would be a good bench pickup assuming Dusty doesn't try and sneak him past all the young guys on the depth chart. Let's wait and see if we find something out about this.
  19. Slight disagreement here, SSR. I agree with Kirk Herbstreit that I would take Auburn over the Ducks based on the body of work, and I'd probably take OSU over ND (if I didn't have allegiances to the contrary). I also think that if USC or Texas loses, they're in as an at-large unless they put up a "Nebraska/Colorado 2001" type performance. I don't think there is any doubt, however, that: If USC and Texas win - ND and OSU at-large If one loses - USC/Texas and ND at-large (OSU left out) If they both lose - both at-large (ND and OSU left out)
  20. Derwood, I have complained on this board about how biased that board is, even for my taste. And Rock's House is the message board. The Rock and OmahaDomer are posters there (who are extemely ND biased). That is a post from the message board. Every week they issue "The Rock Report" put together by a few of the posters and place it on the hompage. That was one of them. I have said this many times, but please don't take what a few fans do and label ND fans as a whole based on that. I am sure people could read some posts on here or other Cubs message boards and say the same thing about Cubs fans, but we all know it isn't true. The same holds true with ND fans, and to be quite honest I am getting sick and tired of the fans constantly being portrayed in a negative light. You don't like the school, fine, but please stop making remarks about the fans. There are many, many respectful ND fans. Don't let a few bad apples ruin you opinion of the people who follow ND (that isn't directed at only you). It should be noted that there have been editorials written by USC and Syracuse fans this season (and I'm sure there are other opponents who have done the same) about how respectful and welcoming ND fans are. In my opinion, there should be a playoff with the top 8 BCS teams involved. No exceptions, no conference affiliations. That's the only way to somewhat eliminate the bias from the postseason. Unfortunately it will never happen, and year in and year out teams like Cal last year, Oregon this year, etc. will complain, sometimes with good reason, about being left out of the BCS. That said, I wonder, if Notre Dame beat OSU in the Fiesta, whether there would still be complaints about how ND got in based solely on $$$ (which I'm not arguing is mostly the case here).
  21. No. It's pathetic that Dusty misused Neifi so ineptly that we have to think this way.
  22. I cannot verify that I am ndistops, it is quite possible that an alien has taken control of my brain.
  23. Haven't you heard? It doesn't matter. It's not their fault that their super tough schedule ended up being weak, so you can't hold it against them, and every other team plays weak teams, and they are Notre Dame and God loves them and so does Lou Holtz so they belong in the Fiesta Bowl. God's loving them isn't near as important as the BCS loving the money Notre Dame generates, if you could take off the "I hate ND" blinders for just one second. Why is it that anytime someone claims ND doesn't deserve it, they have "blinders" on. I think it's more likely the ND fans have "blinders" tahn the fact that non_ND fans have them. Of course. Because since ND fulfilled the requirements to get into the BCS, all Irish lovers have blinders on. That makes all the sense in the world. What else do you want ND to do anyway? 10-1? 11-0? 13-0 on an 11-game schedule? What could possibly prove to anyone that this team is BCS-worthy?
  24. Army and Navy would also have a bit of a problem with that. If you can somehow come up with a way for this to work with alignments and memberships and such, you talk to Myles Brand and maybe he can pull it off. I'll also note that this is an ironic argument coming from someone whose team stopped being independents one decade ago and up until this year had been sliding downhill ever since then.
