  1. He walked a guy early in the game. Into the 10th now.
  2. A bad lefty. More worried about Schwarber vs. hard throwing LHPs, though he hasn't hit any LHPs well lately.
  3. Is that a guy on the team? 3rd string QB. Is David Fales around? The roster shows him as "active/non-football illness". Yeah, Fales has mono or some [expletive]. IDK. But neither are going to make this team. Bears probably want to get someone halfway competent in camp too from what I hear.
  4. Is that a guy on the team? Duh. The highly touted undrafted FA out of East Carolina.
  5. http://www.csnchicago.com/bears/bears-jay-cutler-turnover-free-through-five-training-camp-practices That just means our defensive backs suck They've been dominating Shane Carder...when he actually throws the ball anywhere near a receiver.
  6. Should be ready to play ball any minute now.
  7. It hasn't rained at my house for hours.
  8. It's over. Should be good to go. 20 minutes tops.
  9. All of these guys have seen the majors. Only 1 is not in the majors now. And the primary reason he's not is because he was so horribly bad when he was in the majors last. So, yeah, I'm going to go with that guy.
  10. I would guess Crawford's 7/140 is a good starting point for him, with maybe an extra and/or a few extra mil a year added due to age. Yeah, that's probably a good starting point. I'd go 7/160-175 for him without hesitation. 8/200 scares me. I wonder if he'd accept something like 5 years for 135-150Mil, and become a FA again at 31. If becoming a FA again after a few years is interesting to him, he'll probably insist on an opt-out after 3-5 years. That's true. I'd be cool with that.

  12. Thanks for doing the legwork guys. 9 times out of 10, I'm at work (blocked sites) or on my phone (pain to navigate multiple windows) and can't look up stats myself.
  13. LD% per month? He seems to be hitting the ball with more authority recently too. Especially to RCF.
  14. Aside from the obvious benefits, I want at least one guaranteed playoff home game to go to so bad. I'd like an NLCS game in Pittsburgh. Of course, there appears to be very little chance both the Cubs and Pirates make the playoffs and don't play a 1-gamer.
  15. Yep. Hate the DL depth right now. Looking at guys like Will Sutton (undersized questionable fit for D), Cornelius Washington (adding weight after 2 years as a non-factor), or Terry Williams (undrafted rookie FA) getting significant time on the DL. And that's with 2 of 3 guys like Goldman (rookie), Ferguson (2nd year player having 300 snaps under his belt), and Jenkins (former Skins bust) starting and the other being the top in the rotation. The Bears lost Ray McDonald (at worst the 2nd best DL) and never really replaced him. Ratliff is oft injured, so the chances of more than 1 of these guys playing significant snaps increases.
  16. Hope nobody changed the calendars in the Cubs lockerroom. Lester: April ERA 6.23 May ERA 1.76 June ERA 5.74 July ERA 1.66
  17. Bryant OK. Felt Dizzy. Taken out as precautionary move. Per muskat
  18. The nicest. Sucks that I can't make it to any of the games this week. Going to the Sept series though.
