    umm, isn't he still playing shortstop? I don't know if he ever played anywhere else, at the major league level or otherwise, but there was definitely speculation of him moving to another position. right, but i'm 99% sure he is still at shortstop.

    lol - thanks dusty. i guess those 3 at bats are all anyone is basing their opinion of cedeno on, right? it has nothing to do with his success in the majors last year or the improvements he showed on the field and at the plate in 2005, too!

    really, what's happening to you is not all that uncommon for the VWR system. try the first day of ticket sales for the cubs - last year, i had well over a hundred windows open over a dozen computers (yay for working in a research lab where nobody was using them that day) and didn't get a chance to purchase tickets once (this was over 8+ hours).

    ok - so dubois is an AAAA player, but hollandsworth is good off the bench with a 2005 line of 254/301/388 for the cubs and 171/275/257 for the braves? yeah, that sounds REALLY solid, brah.

    i think the option gets declined regardless of how he performs this year. however, if he's healthy, i think he'll get a decent contract offer from the cubs. i really hope he is healthy and is given a chance to stay.

    Yes! 1 appearance will determine it! I'm going to love rubbing the obvious in your faces when he fails. The prospect love puts blinders on a lot of you. don't be a dick. don't break NSBB guidelines. despite the language, it's exactly what you're acting like. give it a rest.

    now that i think about this a little, i think i would definitely do this trade. kendrick projected to be the best 2b in the AL by PECOTA this year. he's ML ready, and if hendry and dusty really hate walker, i'd much rather have him playing than hairston or neifi. though i can't imagine dusty letting two rookies be his DP combo...

    this is interesting. i'd assume trading pie would mean we'd be locking up pierre. i could probably live with this. and vance, afaik wood is considered untouchable by stoneman.

    Considering his reported demands for Lugo and Huff (which weren't much different from LaMar's), I really don't think it was premature. Still think that claim wasn't premature?
