I don't know if anyone else is having this problem, but when I click on the orange New Posts button next to a thread, I get an error message that says "www.northsidebaseball.com could not be found".

Any diagnoses for what might be causing that? They'd be greatly appreciated.

There seems to be a problem resolving northsidebaseball.com to its proper IP address. It's such a problem, in fact, I'm amazed anybody's even online right now. Are you using northsidebaseball.com to navigate to the site, or are you going straight to the IP address?

I was wondering why it's so dead in here today. I'm using northsidebaseball to navigate the site and I haven't had a problem getting on.

OK, then this is weird. I (and several other regular posters) are unable to get to this site using the domain name, but can using its IP address. My only guess now is that it's a regional or provider-specific issue. Who's your internet provider? (Answers from anybody would be appreciated.)

Trying to use AOL on my one computer I wasn't able to reach the site using Northsidebaseball.com

IE on the same computer wasn't working at all, but I was able to go to other sites using AOL

I'm on another computer now (IE) using northsidebaseball.com and its working fine.

I have Comcast out of Michigan. I'm using Firefox. Haven't had a problem at all.

It looks like I'm back in for now.

Glad you got in, Vance. :)

Since I haven't posted my info here, I'm using Firefox 1.5 RC2 and my provider is Cox cable here in Manhattan, KS.

I think the problam may be resolved now.

A few minutes ago (when I was logged in using the IP address in the address bar) I got booted off. However, I was then able to log back in using northsidebaseball.com rather than the IP address in the address bar. This just happened within the past five minutes.

Nope :(

What's the IP for this place?

sbc dsl here, btw. doesn't really seem like a provider issue

Still down for me as well. The IP address is 72.3.224.22.

It was down for me for a while. It's back up but the new post thing is still not working.

I use Firefox and I am on through my school's Ethernet connection in the dorms.

I haven't had any trouble today...give this a try and see if it helps...

close all browser windows and anything that may be using the internet...instant messengers, weatherbugs...etc

go to start-run and put in cmd

when the black command window comes up type this without the quotes...

ipconfig /flushdns

close the command window and try northsidebaseball.com again.

Not sure if it will help, but it will eliminate the possiblity that your computer is using old dns info...it will force it to go request new dns info from your isp.

Isn't old dns info not the problem if the site is going in and out for you? 3 minutes ago I couldn't connect, now it's normal. It was down for hours earlier, I think.

Possibly...but some people are able to reach it fine with IP address.

And I've been able to access it without issue all day.

Sounds like this didn't work. Sorry guys. I don't know what's up.

I haven't been able to reach the site using the domain name since yesterday evening. The hit-and-miss nature of this problem really has me confused. Some people are able to resolve the proper IP using the domain name, while others can't. There are still others who can sometimes get to the right IP using the domain name, but at other times can't. Perplexing.

After reading what you suggested at the emergency forum BK, I was able to log in. The way I logged in was a bit strange though -- it wouldn't let me log in at first, so I hit the back button and proceeded to go to the Transactions forum, where I was logged in. I cannot remember if I had "log me in automatically" checked or not. I've been logged in since. It sounds like a DNS issue to me, though I am by no means a networking expert :P

Well, northsidebaseball.com is finally working for me. Let's hope that's true for everyone. (And that it lasts!)

Hello, all.

There was indeed a problem. The issue existed somewhere between the registrar and the ISP. It's been resolved, so everything should be okay now.
