No two teams and fan bases have endured more pain while refusing to whine about it than the improbable 2005 World Series dance partners. Red Sox and Cubs fans take note: The White Sox and Astros deserve our praise, Jim Caple writes.

Whats with White Sox fans being a first class breed all of the sudden? I loathe the media so.

No surprise, the TV announcers praised the cardinals fans for 2 minutes straight after the Astros won the NLCS, you would think they would maybe talk about the team going to the WS for the first time instead.

yeah ok ESPN, the real fans of the team do not make excuses. Nice of them to shove all of the Cubs and Red Sox fans into "the fans that blame everything on curses" category.

That means, Jim Caple would be banned from this board, because he "label" us Cubs fans. Not that it matters, because like Skip Bayless, he is a POS, but the thought comforts me to know, Caple won't be allow on this board.

I saw that too. So irritating, as if we blame all of our problems on a goat. However, especially irritating was the comment about Stl fans cheering on the Astros. Anyone think that they might be cheering for their own team? their stadium? their season?

Morons.

And what about all of the boos that rained down on the Astros after the last out?

Not only that, but when the Astro fans started cheering at Busch, you could hear the irritating chant of "Let's Go Cardinals!" to drown out the applause.

Best fans in baseball indeed.

ESPN spends more time making news than they do reporting the facts. It is almost like tabloid sports. I can probably write a 10,000 word post about how much I despise ESPN. Yet it is probably the most viewed network in my house. I wish someone would be able to compete with them and be objective.

They wouldn't get any viewers. I compare ESPN to Fox News. Nothing to report? Make crap up!
