Went by it this morning. Most of the bricks that made up the outer walls on Waveland and Sheffield are now in a pile on the sidewalk. The steel supports for the bleachers are exposed. I'll try and post pics tomorrow, maybe.

Is it blocked off, or can I run over there and steal a brick?? :) Might be a nice prize to donate for the next Predictions contest

I'll pay someone 50 bucks to get me one of those bricks.

It would definitely be worth $50. Heck, I'd like to have one. I wonder how you'd authenticate it, though.

I wasn't aware that they were doing work on Wrigley. What's the plan?

Shredding the outfield wall, putting in 1800 more bleacher seats, installing a restaurant in the batter's eye in center, punching an old woman, taking her money, hiring Darren Baker.

Don't forget the parking structure and concourse along what used to be Seminary.

Will you guys really pay $50 for a brick of Wrigley? I mean if I'm going to risk criminal trespassing and everything that goes with it I want to be sure your going to believe its an authentic Wrigley brick and not just something I picked up at Home Depot.

it was nice that hendry and baker put together a crappy enough team to allow construction to start before the playoffs ended! thanks guys

You mean before the playoffs started!

I would pay for one most definitely. However, when I have the brick tested (carbon dated or what have you) and it doesn't pass the "authenticity test", I will hunt you down. :camper:

I'm definitely serious. I don't want you to get in trouble, but if its acessible, and you'd swear to its authenticity, I'd pay you to get me one.

I wouldn't sell it, so your word would be good enough for me.

If you get arrested all those who want a brick ought to pay your bail money as well.

I'm in for buying a brick....lets to an NSBB auction..

Now that would rock. UMFan could grab as many as he could, and ship some off to Tim and he could put them up for auction to raise money for the site.

Or, Tim could get them his dang self.

Seriously, though, I'm sure that the Cubs wouldn't like that and sic thier flying monkey lawyers on Tim and this site.

I think I read somewhere that many of the bricks from the old backstop were re-used during its reconstruction. They may be planning something similar, though I'm sure no one would miss one or two gone missing ...

Guys I might really do this. I did a drive by the stadium earlier today. It seems there are many potential places to get in to where the bricks are. The key is getting in there when no one is looking...
