That should've been six for Purdue. The ball broke the plane before he lost it.

It was close, but if it was in doubt I think they would have reviewed it.

Purdue should've called timout there. They had a pair of looks right down the goal line with one pretty clearly showing the ball break the plane.

I agree. I was yelling for ND to get the snap off as quick as possible.

They review the non-TD when it would have been 1st and goal at the one but not the fumble? Weird.

There must have been no doubt that the ball did not cross the plain on the fumble

ESPN isn't showing the really bad shots of the Prothro broken leg although they are showing it briefly from one angle. Very ugly.

The same thing happened to my brother playing FB a few years ago. He has no ankle now. My dad refuses to watch any of the replays.

Auburn over South Carolina 41-0 with over 5 min left in the 3rd. This has been a good week for both of the SEC teams in this state. Alabama should be in the top 10 after this week, and Auburn will break the top 20 again.

Umm, ND looks really good. [expletive] MSU

If Weis uses Rashon-Neal Powers on those two plays where he used the freshman, ND might be unbeaten now.

You can't blame Aesop for the loss to MSU.

If this Purdue loss helps the 'Cats land Loukas (a 3-star QB out of Deerfield who is making his official visit to Purdue today), I'm all for it. The great part is that his visit to Northwestern is during the homecoming night game against Michigan, which could fool him into thinking that people around here actually care about Northwestern football.

Drew Olson has reverted back to crappy QB after 3 good games, Washington is beating UCLA 10-0 midway through the second quarter. Yes, the same Washington University that has only beaten Idaho and San Jose State in the last TWO YEARS.

Pathetic.

UCLA down 10-0 at the half.

Hopefully at halftime, Karl Dorrell is fired and Drew Olson has been benched in favor of Ben Olson.

Karl should be fired just for kneeling with 3 timeouts, :25 on the clock and a 1st and 10 at UCLA's 40.

The comment wasn't meant to blame him; directed at Weis' use of him in that situation.

Anyone care to post how they would vote in this week's poll (before the real one comes out?)

Derwood,

The only glaring mistake with that list that I see is LSU at #4. They actually have played two games since the last poll was released. They lost to Tennessee on Monday and then won yesterday. Georgia, Tennessee, and Bama will be in front of the Tigers, and LSU should be somewhere closer to Florida around #13...each having lost one game now.

The only reason Tennessee would ever be ranked above Bama is because of the ridiculously stupid pre-season polls. I've watched both teams several times (and I'm not pro or anti SEC, I'm a ND fan), and Alabama is BY FAR a better team at this point. The SEC is down in a big way this year. Tennessee has played no better than a 15-20 team this season. Alabama and Georgia are the only two SEC teams I'd have in the top 10 right now.
