not to bring abuck out of fthe woodwork but why is Rusch continually starting games when guys like Hill and Mitre could be getting valuable experience at ML level? Dusty is rightfully catching a ton of flacking for not starting Cedeno and Murton everyday but not the same heat for using Rusch?

It's criminal that Hill hasn't seen action yet this month.

I think its criminal that Dusty Baker is still the manager of this team. The fact is it is pathetic not starting the kids who also happen to be playing better baseball than the pathetic vets we have on this team.

Wow. Neifi's (.307 OBP) batting second, and Walker, Barrett, and Murton are 6-8, with respective OBPs of .353, .347, and .415 on the season.

But Neifi saved the season!

For Houston? :P

Honestly, would we rather be losing with Rusch on the mound, or with Hill/Mitre on the mound?

Don't worry, he'll get the next long relief appearance, and when he gets hit because he hasn't pitched in nearly 2 weeks, that will prove Dusty right.

good to see that people consider my posting to 'coming out of the woodwork'...i'm pretty sure that's not a compliment. :D

but yes, it is ridiculous that hill hasn't seen any action. but there's no way baker's going to take rusch out of the rotation after his start in st. louis. much like neifi's hot month, that start will buy rusch a minimum of ten more starts.

Hopefully he will pitch well enough that we can trade him in the offseason.

Yet Murton's hot stretch got him sent down to Iowa earlier this year. I love rooting for a team with Dusty Baker running it.

Yeah, I know. My audio went out, so I'm working off of GameDay only.... and they were slow to post what happened. I got it fixed now.
