this is semi-irrelevant, but macias' red sleeves under the jersey are really bothering me.

oh good, he struck out.

So why haven't Kelton and Fontenot been called up? It would be nice to not have Macias be our late game PH....

Kelton is not on the 40 man and Fontenot would take precious time away from Perez and Macias.

I know it's fun and popular around here to bash Neifi and state that he's not qualified to play baseball, but... he really has been a nice player for us this season, coming up with several timely hits.

I agree that he has come up with some timely hits. Unfortunately, with a better hitter at the top, DLee's RBIs increase, putting us in fewer critical late game situations.

What the hell does that mean?

someone who gets on base hitting at the top of the order means we score more runs so we aren't tied 2-2 in the 8th

So hits in the late innings like Perez just got don't mean anything? One has nothing to do with the other. It sounds like people will say anything rather than give Perez credit for anything.

Neifi has a .310 OBP (which at times was below .300 earlier this season). He's been bad. Not as bad as Corey, but Neifi hasn't gotten on base. Being placed in the 2-hole for much of the season has hampered the offense.

I agree that Neifi should not be hitting in the 2 hole @ anytime. However, he has been much better this year than I would ever have expected. Some people here won't acknowledge the good things Neifi has done for this team b/c of the unexcusable hate they have for him. He has been a far better asset for this team than has Corey & it's not even close.

Outside of that bolded sentence, I don't think anyone disagrees with you.

Hmm. That's right, he didn't have options out of ST...

C'mon Corey, try not to wave and miss at one here...

I'm glad Dusty is so fond of the double switches. It really works out well for us that Cpatt and Macias get at-bats in key situations instead of Murton and anyone else.

Nice player? No.

Wow, Burnitz absolutely murdered that foul ball.

Nice player? Yes.

Hey! Corey didn't swing at that head-high fastball! I feel robbed.

Is Corey even trying anymore or is he just going up there with it in his mind that he's going to swing at pitches often so he can get back to the dugout as soon as possible? What a waste of talent.

He was just waving his bat at some of those pitches.
