Chicago White Sox left-hander Mark Buehrle called the Texas Rangers cheaters on Tuesday, claiming that the team signals pitches to batters through a high-tech light system in center field.

Haha, that's awesome.

Looks like Guillen doesn't believe Buehrle.

"You can go either way with it," Guillen said. "The way Buehrle pitched yesterday, it seemed they didn't need signs. Everything was right down the middle of the plate.

My favorite part is that he's heard rumors about it, just like he heard rumors about an unnamed Cubs pitcher using steroids then going on to describe Maddux.

Mark, the Rangers play in a hitters park, that's why they and everyone else hit better there.

On the other hand, maybe TLR lent his holograms to Texas...

Using steroids? I thought he was trying to say Maddux threw a spit ball because he goes to his mouth a lot.

Might have been, I don't remember exactly. He may have used the word "cheating" again.

He did accuse Maddux of using a spitter.

I've had it w/ Buerhle's accusations. They are immature and worse than David "I hate Fenway and it ought to be torn down" "Boomer" Wells.

What's next, Mark? I hate the Metrodome and it needs to be blown up?

Mark Buerhle has overtaken Matt Morris for # 1 crybaby. In 2002, Sammy Sosa hit a 500-ft. HR off him, and Matt Morris said "Sammy Sosa stole signs from our dugout." Buerhle really needs to be suspended. It's a shame that AL pitchers don't have to hit. Someone really needs to throw a 100 mph fastball at his head.

With that offense, and that park, the Rangers could score more than 7 runs in a game if they were stealing signs.

AMEN! Plus Igooche made like 3 errors, allowing unearned runs to score.

this is really hilarious

he just whines every time he gets smoked

Amen. God forbid, god's gift to Pitching gets hit hard every once in awhile. I'm betting Hawk ran with this tonight and was just aghast that the blasphemous Texas Rangers would do such a thing.

What a little baby.

I don't really mind it when Schilling opens his mouth because it is usually a mature response. Wells is just dumb, but Buerhle's accusations are lame because there is really no way to prove him wrong and he knows it.

I am curious about this: while the Rangers obviously hit better at home than away, is there also a sizable opponents difference? Mainly, while we can expect the home team to perform better at home than the away team in a hitter's park, can we find stats that prove that ALL teams perform much better in Arlington? Would love to shove that proof in Buerhle's face.

What do you expect from a Cardinals fan.

A Cardinal fan, dressed in White Sox colors, nonetheless.

Maybe Buehrle is feeling the heat of the Indians. Because if the Indians catch and pass the White Sox, and the Sox miss the playoffs, I think they would be considered one of the great choke jobs in history.

You know what they say, Buehrle...."If you can't stand the heat, get out of the kitchen."

These two sites show some effect of the stadium:

It's hard to say whether the visitors hit better in Arlington due to the park or the fact the Rangers pitching is awful. Some of both I'd say.

If people are so concerned about Raingers cheating at Arlington all they have to do is change the signs. Buerhle should have kept his mouth shut when he called out Maddux and again now.
