When I got home from work today, I saw that the game was tied, and I was actually dissapointed that we weren't losing horribly. The next time I looked, it was 8-1, so good job Reds.

I mean, if its going to be bad, I want to go down in flames.

I think you'll get your wish.

I guess I need to find a good Cowboys message board in the near future.

That could be funny. Or it could be sad. I see it as a little of both.

IF he said that, that's just posturing. Cincy wanted 4-5 prospects and 400 acres of prime Chicago land for Dunn. The Cubs won't get Dunn in a trade and won't get him in free agency.

Here we go again.

No he didnt say that, but he didn't have to. If you believe Bruce Miles (and who doesn't?), the fact is that Hendry wouldnt have done it. The fact that those words didnt escape his mouth doesn't make it any less ridiculous.

He never said that.

bruce miles said he indicated as much, and he said so with complete certainty. i trust miles saying that more than i would've trusted an actual quote of hendry saying it.

That's fine, the fact still stands that he didn't "say" it, and that Miles could've been off base.

didn't the reds ask for harden when the a's called about dunn?

if so, what's the point of this complaint anyway? to show how stupid hendry is? to talk about how much hill sucks? i don't really get this one...

Probably both.

This is just another Adam Dunn obsession thread. Hopefully this obsession for someone the Cubs will never get doesn't get as bad as the Beltran obsession.

Dont speak foul of the almighty Rich Hill - NSSB correspondent!

Unfortunately he wasn't able to call me the night our interview was scheduled and then he got called up. Maybe this is some sort of reverse NSBB energy going on.

So, what's the point of this thread?

Hill has had a rough go of it lately, so the Cubs should have dumped him (and others, presumably) to get Adam Dunn?

That would be short-sighted, and just plain dumb, IMO.

It's too soon to see if Hill will become something. I don't think it's funny that Hill is struggling right now either.

He has been brought up a bit soon, IMO.

Dunn is a good player, but not the end-all, to be all.

Hill is a valued commodity in his own right, who needs a little more development.

The thing is, Dunn is a whole 5 months older than Hill.

I certainly haven't given up on Hill yet, but anyone that wouldn't trade him straight-up for Dunn is either crazy or a fool, whether anyone actually said or implied that or not.
