If people want to rip Corey at least be fair and boo Burnitz as well. Corey has 1/3 of the amount of hits as Burnitz in 24 fewer ABs in August

Burnitz might be playing poorly lately but his BA is roughly equal to Corey's OBP. Burnitz has been average, which was what he was expected to be this year.... Corey has been really awful.

i think hitting .100 for 60 at bats qualifies as being horrible

Murton's OBP is taking a hit today.

See, this is why I think people take lineups too seriously. This was, perhaps, the best lineup possible and it still is crap. If the pitching takes you out of the game early, the lineup may not matter.

Did anybody see the Royal/Indians game last night. The Indians went into the top of the ninth trailing either 7-1 or 7-2. They score 11 runs in the ninth and win it. I'm not sayin'.... but I'm just sayin'.

Why is Williamson pitching 3 days in a row..... :x

Dusty Baker wants another Chad Fox episode?

Man...I just cannot fathom the tactical and strategic ignorance that is #12...

WTF is Williamson doing in the game?! WTF. Dusty is going to Fox him for sure. Screw Dusty. Screw him stright to hell.

Well, Williamson only threw 12 pitches yesterday. Hopefully Dusty yanks him if he gets into trouble.

EDIT: Williamson didn't pitch monday, this is only the 2nd consecutive day.

If I were at the game I would have left after the Reds scored a touchdown. Not sure why you'd subject yourself to this minor league team on a 95 degree day and spend money doing it.

Another 1-2-3 inning for the Cubs. Given up yet Scott?

No but it isn't looking to good when the guys are trying to hit a 7 run home run. Take a walk, a single, gets things started that way. Solo shot after solo shot isn't going to win the game.

I have faith and games like this whan nothing and I mean nothing goes right has a way of changing teams if they snap out of it. I have seen it in the past when something happens and the team wakes up from their sleep walking and really gets going.

I'll be watching for the light to turn on. I know it will.

Regarding the construction of lineups, the Cards are in position to beat the Brewers and Sheets. Eckstein and Edmonds are the only everyday starters starting. Rodriguez, Nunez, Luna, Taguchi and Diaz started and they managed to get three runs off of Sheets. Unbelieveable.

Williamson shouldn't have been in there yesterday, and you could tell by how he threw. This is 4 times in 6 days. No excuse. None.

Okay, I guess I look at it differently. Why do we have guys in the pen who can't throw two days in a row? How is that helping us? I would've been fine waiting until September to see Williamson and not seeing Wood until next year.
