Hrm, no one has done this yet? Jon's slacking while I'm in Alaska (not shocking, of course). Let me take a stab...

Iowa: RHP Bobby Brownlie (5-4, 4.54 ERA) vs. LHP Chris Michalak (7-11, 4.33 ERA)

West Tenn: RHP Ricky Nolasco (10-2, 3.33 ERA)

Daytona: LHP Chris Shaver (1-0, 1.50 ERA) vs. LHP Paul Mildren (7-2, 3.16 ERA)

Peoria: RHP Grant Johnson (2-5, 3.83 ERA) @ RHP Pete Kometani

Boise: LHP Darin Downs (4-2, 2.08 ERA)

Mesa: LHP Donald Veal - just a guess (0-1, 8.10 ERA)

Corey (probably, unless somehow this goes to extras, or they bat around) finished 1-3 with 2K and a HBP. He was picked off at first (with Vince Coleman in town)

Cody Ransom hit his first HR as a I-Cub.

Kometani has been giving the Chiefs all sorts of trouble. They've had one hit (a Drew Larsen double) through 6. Kometani with 9Ks, and he retired the first 14 he faced. He's out of the game after 6 innings.

Eric Patterson is out of the lineup today for a planned day off. Ryan Harvey is DH-ing for a mini-rest.

Grant Johnson pitched well -- 5 innings, 4 hits, 2R, 1ER, gave up a solo HR. 2nd run scored when Frostad attempted to steal 3B and Rick threw the ball down the 3rd base line for his 5th error of the season. One CS, and Frostad would have been CS with a good throw. Johnson's day is done. ERA now = 3.64.

Inconsistent strike zone is causing fits. Jesse Schmidt (RF today) was tossed for asking how two called strikes -- one inside, one outside -- could both be strikes. Seemed a very quick boot, so Schmidt was infuriated, as was Mgr Julio Garcia. With Harvey DHing, the Chiefs don't have a 4th outfielder, so Larsen was moved from 1B to LF and Flowers from LF to RF (and Smith from 3B to 1B and Granato into the game at 3B).

Chiefs get a nifty 9-6-2-5 putout to end the 6th.

One HR away from tying the All-time Jaxx HR record

Who has the Jaxx HR record? I know Patterson, Hinske, and Kelton all hit 20. But I don't think any of them got to 25.

I'm going out on a limb, but I'm pretty sure it's Chris Haas

On August 31, 2001, Chris Haas hit his 25th HR. It looks like that was a game that included a rehab game by Rondell White.
