Is it too much to ask for this team to play like they are major leaguers rather than daisy-picking 6 year-old little leaguers?

Well, one bright side:

With Joke Morgan announcing, the Cub fundamentals won't be the WORST thing in the ballpark.

GO Cubs.

Sigh. Eyre gives up a 2-out double to Burke and then decided it would be a good idea to give Burkman something to hit after falling behind 3-0. 2-1 Astros after the RBI double...
Posted
And so much for gaining any ground today. Eyre gives up 4 2-out runs in the 8th.

But to gain ground, you must win.. and that's questionable.

And if we do gain ground, it'll just prolong the agony.

Take some time while you're waiting for the game to start, and look up the Cardinals' record when trailing by 2 after 8 innings. I'm sure we'd all be interested to know.

Is it wrong to hope we lose?

i think i'm to the point where i want to see lee play well enough to win the mvp and nomar to play well enough to prove he's healthy enough to bring back for a tiny contract next season, but for the team to do whatever it takes to get dusty fired.

as i've said before, i've been optimistic that we have a shot at the wild card until recently, but as long as dusty is making his best effort to make sure neifi is still a starter with nomar back in addition to starting macias for 4 games in a row, this team does not have a chance.

Posted

How did I know that somehow Nomar's return to the lineup would come at the expense of Todd Walker?

And, we need to get someone IMMEDIATELY that Dusty thinks is worthy of starting in CF. Other than, "Who should be released?," there are no questions to which "Jose Macias" is the answer.

*sigh*

And what amazes me is that a team like the Red Sox can put together a lineup with Grafannino at 2B, Petagine at 1B, Cora at 3B, Mirabelli at C and Kapler in CF and they still go out and score 11 runs (that's sitting their regular catcher, 3B and CF).

Our offense is really crummy at times.

Well, now a national audience can see first hand the horror that is a Dusty Baker lineup...

Plus, we get to listen to Joe Morgan tell us how great of a manager Dusty is.
