You know that every player slumps at some point in the season right? Even Pujols.

Yeah but Lee looks to be slumping/injured.

I think hes hurting pretty badly, hes just not telling anyone. Of course its simply presumptiousness on my part, but its a logical conclusion.

I'm so happy we haven't faced Houston or St Louis in a rough strech of our season.

Hes not gonna hit 400 all year long....

If you watch real close at the Inning where all 3 balls were hit to Walker, you will see on one of them that DLee had to reach pretty good he grimmaced a good bit.

I hate how stubborn players can be. Lee is hurt, so he he should take ask out of the game, and for a rest. Unfortunately players don't like to do that, and it is the job of the coaching staff needs to take the bull by the horns.

Do you have anything new to say?

I don't believe ive ever uttered that statement. However theres not alot of reason to be entirely optimistic right now.

The Cubs are barely treading water, and with a 40% DLee we're in DEEP trouble.

As I type this DLee botches a play.

He's complained twice about being tired and Dusty hasn't sat him. Everyone knows his shoulder hurts and Dusty hasn't sat him. It's not Lee's fault.

I am still hopeful, but will watch the game from my bed, I'm in a lot of knee-pain, and sitting exascerbates it..

Expect a joyous post when the Cubbies do it tonight.

GO CUBS!

Nothing like facing the Cubs to break out of slump.

It wasn't a bad pitch. Abreu is a good hitter.

I know but he's been a bit of slump since the ASB, doesn't surprise me that he is starting to break out of it against the Cubs.

How could they score a run if it was just a fly ball to the OF? From watching Cubs baseball I have no clue how that is allowed

No offense, but we can all see what is going wrong here. But pessimism is neither insightful or constructive. In fact, all it does is aggravate people.

this is fricken maddening.

not only Williams failure to cover, but before the game, I heard Dusty on the pregame with Santo. he talked about how they are facing a guy who is effectively wild. so they have a game plan to be patient and take alot of pitches.

so what do we see? we see Lee swing at two balls and K. we see Burnitz swing at two balls and pop up. we see Aram go out of the strikezone and K. we see Walker with a three pitch AB (one very generous called strike) and flyout on a ball. we see Neifi with a two pitch at bat flyout on a pitch over his head.

Baker blows, but sometimes your team has to execute a game plan, and tonight, it's like they aren't even trying.
