Nice job by Rusch. Just for that, you get a walk credited to your name that shouldn't have been.

And now that the Cubs are on their 3rd left fielder, can you pinch run for Ramirez if he gets in scoring position?

Macias.

But even then, that leaves just Cedeno and Blanco.

Doesn't matter now.

The Chicago Cubs, Dusty Baker, and their lineup drives any REAL fan crazy.

This play is absoutely pathetic. I have watched every single game of this team, in 2004, and in 2005. I expect alot better, and I'm sick of watching this 2nd half meltdown routine.

The Cubs have 4 outs to hit a home run. Since thats the only way they can score.

Also, I'd really like to know the train of thought that led to double switching the same spot in the order twice. The EIGHT spot in the order.
Train of thought? What train of thought? Wait- it's "I better make as many moves as I can so it seems like I have some sort of plan"

This team sucks. They deserve to lose the wild card spot, and hopefully lose all the games from here on out, so Hendry gets to blow up the team.

DLee is not a triple crown winner, hes flat out been lucky.

He'll revert to his old self next season I'm sure. You can't rely on him all the time.

Darn straight. The Cubs suck. My grandmother can play better when it matters than them, and she has to use crutches. They aren't worth the material their uniforms are made out of. Just because they are only a few games out of the wild card lead doesn't mean they aren't the absolute worst group of 25 people ever to play this sport, or any sport for that matter. They suck.

You're right about Lee too, what a giant waste of oxygen. He's worse than Macias. Just because he leads the MLB in batting average and is tied for the league in home runs doesn't mean he's any good. I think the fact that he hasn't matched his incredible pace for the last couple of games shows conclusively that he should be benched for the rest of the season, maybe cut from the team.

Yes, that was sarcasm. They frustrate me too, but I think you are taking it a little too far. They don't suck, and they don't deserve to lose.

I think I might die of shock if anything resembling a positive thought ever came from you.

The Cubs obviously bring you only pain and misery, so why do you bother watching them?

Not all, but most people who post in the Game thread section of this forum are extreme pessimists!

And it does drive us crazy. Venting on a message board day in and day out just isn't necessary, and it just aggravates others. I'm sure there are plenty of things you can break, or go in the basement and scream. Go to a batting cage or a driving range, or buy a punching bag.

Just because you spew venom on an internet message board doesn't mean you care more than anyone else.

Hey... I'm just as frustrated as anyone with this team, but going 10-6 since the All Star break doesn't really qualify as a meltdown.... and so far today, we have zero home runs, but we've scored 2 runs. How can that be ?
