*sigh*

I REALLY wish dusty would bat Aram fourth. It'd work so much better in spots like this.

Some one on ESPN pointed it out the other day. "with burnitz batting behind lee, WHY in the world would you ever pitch to him"

why would you bring in Fassero here? Leave the guy Walker in who is more likely to get a K in this crucial situation (38 K's in 42.2 innings)

Silly move, imo.

Neifi is far from Cal Ripken, but he's done very well all things considered. When you consider just a few things, like OBP, not so much. He still has the biggest hit of the year so far. He still plays great D. He's still doing a great job keeping Nomar's seat warm.

But what's the point? It's like ](*,)

Does Alou carry 12 position guys and 13 pitchers?? GEEZUS!

But bring on GasCan Fassero... thanks for handing us this win, Felipe! HA!!

(I sure wish Dusty would pull his head out and write the lineup with Ramirez and Burnitz switched around though... nothing against Burny, but Ramirez is flaming hot right now and he would have been PERFECT in this situation)

That IBB was a no brainer.

If the Giants somehow get out of this inning, is there anyone left in their bullpen? This is their 6th guy out of the pen, not sure if they have an 11 man or 12 man staff.

According to VORP (value over replacement), he has contributed 5 runs over what a theoretical replacement SS would produce.

I'm talking about going forward. All of his stats are skewed by his ridiculous April. Since then he's reverted to his career norms, which are awful at hitting, hitting for power, getting on base, and everything else related to offense in baseball.

Yeah, but his .200 batting average over the last month or so is not indicative of his talent either. His current stats overall are pretty much in sync with his career numbers (.269/.300/.380).

Definitely a silly move with Fassero! Don't understand it at all!

Whatever. As good as he was in April/May, he has been that bad and worse since. We would have been far better off with Cedeno playing over that stretch, and I don't think you can logically dispute that.
