64 pitches in 3 innings is OUTRAGEOUS!

Get him out of there!

Our bullpen probably doesnt need that much work, lets let wood have at least 30 more pitches and then we will think about it.

64 pithes in 3 innings means he's got nothing going for him.

And yet (if he wasn't hurt), he couldn't have gotten better in the next few innings?

And Rocket isn't allowed to go to anymore Cubs games. This is all obviously his fault.

And just in case, no more dates for Rocket.

wow, looks like Remmy is coming in for the 4th. Wood might be hurt yet again.

Does that mean it is time to go back to the dunn trade talk thread? If we dont get going this could be very painful to watch/follow.

I'm so incredibly sick of Kerry Wood, this is a guy whose done really nothing impressive over his career BUT, his 20 strikeouts. Hes incredibly overrated.

If anything, I'd be happy to have Rusch, Hill, or anybody else on the pitching staff but him.

That's not going too well at the moment either...

I totally agree.

I guess you have a pretty short memory. I'm sure you weren't saying that during 2003.

Big deal, he won a couple of playoff games. Thats in the past. In the present, hes just DL fodder.

Cubs need another bonafied pitcher on their rotation, Wood isn't cutting it.

Kerry was one of the best pitchers in baseball in 2002 and 2003.

If Wood is injured again and needs to go on the DL we should dump his ass. This is ridiculous.

And how do you suggest that? He has a no-trade clause, and even if he were willing to waive it, who is going to want to trade for a brittle, overpaid pitcher? Releasing him is pointless and a huge waste of money. Face it, he's a Cub for the rest of this year and next... after that the Cubs can cut their ties.
