Do we really have no one better than Macias in that spot?

Well we could have used hairston but he is resting and murton would have exploded if he faced a righty. Although novoa may have been availible after pitching last night

Pardon my stupidity, but how does someone win $10,000?

The MLB fantasy game where you pick a different player that you think will hit a HR every night. If you break the ML record of 8 in a row, then you win 10K. Someone had 8 in a row with Lee going tonight, and two other people were at 8 with Teixeira tonight.

Not only that but with Burnitz's HR, someone won $7,000 in the WGN 720 Back to back jacks contest because it was in the 7th inning

Everyone profits off the Cubs! (except the die hard fans)

at least Dusty didn't use him as a defensive replacement in CF.

Damn, 6-3?! I'm guessing Wood pitched like crap tonight?

gave up 3 solo shots before leaving after the 3rd due to right shoulder stiffness. Remlinger gave up 2 on a 2 out hit and then Mitre gave up a bomb to Javier Valentin.

Can you imagine the Cubs tied up 3-3 in the playoffs, in the ninth inning, runners on third, and Macias up to PH?

Worst scenario ever. Please DFA Macias.

Imagine that scenario in the playoffs -- only DOWN a run. Yikes.

Oh you've got to be kidding me. Wood injured... a-freaking-gain?! Good God man. Does it appear to be serious?

"Shoulder stiffness" will probably translate to "torn labrum" given his luck...
