Call me crazy, but what’s wrong with playing a little small ball to move runners and get guys across? They rely on hitting for slug too much, and it’s equivalent to NBA teams like Boston, living and dying by the three.

For me personally, nothing,  im a fan of small ball, especially when guys/team are struggling.

SB, hit n runs, bunt for hits are awesome when executed

Thanks, I figured it was bad, but not this awful.

I know Counsell dont have much to choose from, but eventually he needs to try something different other than Bregman, and Happ at 3-4

I've theorized for a while that there is something fundamentally broken with the way the Cubs game plan / strategize for PAs with RISP.
