Easy. Sacrifices count against your OBP but not your average.

can Hairston play 3rd?

I was just going to mention Hairston...he did start a game at 3b for the O's last year, but only logged 3 innings before switching positions...he had one chance, made the play, so a perfect FPCT. He's played a few innings on the left side of the IF before, so I'm sure he could handle it if need be, but that's not Dusty's style. He's not a 3b by nature, so he won't play him there.

After today's 2-HR, 5 RBI game, Aramis is now hitting .310/.366/.599/.965. 26 2B, 24 HR, 54 Runs, and 69 RBI. To size that up:

Stat 3B Rank MLB Rank
.310 BA 2nd 18th
.366 OBP	5th 49th
.599 SLG	1st 3rd
.965 OPS	3rd 9th
26 2B 1st 7th
24 HR 3rd 8th
54 R 6th 44th
69 RBI 3rd 15th

Not bad.

Haha, remember wheneveryone said that Aramis was out of shape and didn't care anymore because he had gotten paid? Oops.

Based on combined OPS it looks like the cubs currently have the top one-two offensive punch in baseball.

as far as I can tell it goes like this:

Aramis/DLee: 2141

ARod/Sheff: 1975

Pujols/Edmonds: 1971

Roberts/Tejada: 1944

Cabrera/Delgado: 1923

Manny/Ortiz: 1907

Ramirez since June 1: .358/.403/.704/1.107, 14 HR in 159 ABs.

I want to have his babies.

When i saw that, my expression was similar to that of your monkey avatar.
