  1. That's a good point... can we expect a lot of changes this off season? or is hendry gonna play the collapse to an overused bench, and injured starters? also, what kind of free agents are lined up for the off season? or is it too early to tell?
  2. did i read that right? or am i not catching the sarcasm. 28 pitches to 88 pitches? whats up with that?
  3. All we need are a couple of solo HRs how does the dback starter look? name loses me here.
  4. well then we dont lose games do we. we've moved up ahead of the mets, phils and marlins. keep them behind us, and worry about the stros and nats. if we keep winning series after series, the other will fall eventually.
  5. nah then they will split the cubs vote and pujols will get it. if some others cool off on their hitting, and aramis and lee continue... wouldn't it be cool if lee got the triple crown, and aramis got second in all categories? hmmmm... what would that be called?
  6. srry... just got here... what's the score?
  7. i agree... i never understood how we get hairston for sosa (just the name and past production should be more). not only that but the money we had to pay for sosa's contract. i'm not a business management major, and dont know very much about contractual obligations in the sports industry, but i felt we got the lower end of that deal at the time. we admittedly lost a cubs hero and run producer (as much as you'd like to deny it, he was a hero and producer in right)... and for a guy that i personally had only heard his name mentioned a few times before, and never knew what position he played until he arrived. plus we had no replacement for RF at the time, which is always to be concerned. but none of us knew (some expected) that sosa would have a flake year... and we would get burnitz in FA and he'd be producing as well as he is away from coors.
  8. when did the marlins hire jack mckeon? and how many game back were they? cos if we get someone like that that can pick this club up out of the cellar... maybe it'd save the season and get us to the playoffs.
  9. Too bad Hendry can't actually swing a bat...Then again, how can he be worse than Macias? oh come on now. enough ripping on macias. its like beating a special ed student in basketball.
