More Atlanta updates. They are hiring a President of Football to oversee GM and Head Coach. Their longtime President/CEO, Rich McKay (who previously held GM title with both Buccs and Falcons) is moving onto other endeavors within Blank's business/sports portfolio, and some other guy will be their business President.

We just saw Tennessee abandon the "Football president above GM" structure a year after they out it into place. We'll see if Atlanta'S last longer, but with 2 presidents, the old president still with the family, and 2 search firms it certainly seems like too many cooks in the kitchen.

Pete Carroll out in Las Vegas

Most likely done in the NFL. But LOL at the Raiders. They will be hiring their FIFTH HC since moving to Vegas.

It's almost like hiring 70 year old coaches isn't a good plan.

I really wonder how where the Bears would have gone if Ben Johnson didn't come here.  Most would say Mike McCarthy, and that would be a very McCaskey move, but so would Pete Carroll.  Thank God we dont have to live in that timeline.

Lol,  The Titans have requested to interview Nagy.

I think Nagy will be ok. His biggest miscue was the over reaction to the doink and subsequent attention on the kicker tryout sideshow, which I think contributed to losing the locker room.

he inherited an incredibly flawed Trubisky (and probably should have been more discerning in his first HC job) and didn’t stand a chance with the team Pace put on the field for Fields.

Guys in second opportunities can improve. If he goes to the right spot he’s got a chance. He was better than the guys that came before and after him in Chicago.

Yeah, Nagy is probably gonna get another gig somewhere, even if it's not with the Titans.  Although having Ward there might make it an attractive landing spot for him.

Nagy was Coach of the Year and lead the Bears to two playoff appearances with a flawed QB who is now a career backup. He could be a pretty good coach who deserves another shot.

And I said good for him if he can nabbed another HC job.

Eberflus has been canned as DC of Dallas. No real shocker.

Kinda expecting that as a possible landing spot for Al Harris.

Nagy's issues with the offense was that he seemingly refused to tailor his offense to the team around him and he had a complete inability to multitask.  I mean, I get it, you think you're the smartest guy in the room, but Trubisky (and most of the rest of the team) was in no way prepared to handle the ins and outs of that offense.   Moreover, that weird play calling tug of war that happened with Bill Lazor seemed emblematic of someone being way in over their heads.

I can see him succeeding in a new HC gig, but here's hoping he learned his lessons from his first go round.
