There's also a weird scenario where everyone ties at 12-5 and the Eagles sneak past everyone for the 1 seed.

Interesting, can you find that scenario?  Other places are reporting the Eagles can't get the 1 seed but definitely possible there is some obscure scenario that not many people are picking up on it.

Edit: In fact, the only way all 5 teams tie at 12-5 is with the Bears beating the 49ers and then SF beats Seattle (because Seattle has to lose twice to finish 12-5).  If that were to happen, the 49ers would win the division with a 3-1 H2H record vs Seattle/LAR, compared to 2-2 for Seattle/LAR.  If I'm reading the tiebreaking rules properly, if one team has a H2H sweep, they would win the tiebreaker, and in this case the Bears would be 2-0 against the 49ers and Eagles, the 2 teams they would be tied with.

Oh, I see, the option is off the table now with SF's win Monday. It required LA to win the division, as Philly would win a 3 way tiebreaker with LA and Chicago.

Because of intra conference record?

I must not understand the rules.  The Bears beat the Eagles.  I would have thought that means the Bears win a tiebreaker with the Eagles.

Eagles also beat the Rams. Would it be intra conference record?

If Seattle wins do you push these guys into the lineup?  I guess it depends a couple of things:

-Are you willing to risk falling to 3rd seed and playing SF/LA/SEA and if you win go on the road to Philly vs a guaranteed home game in the divisional round?

-Does SF rest their starters in Week 18 against Seattle if the Bears win tonight thus eliminating the Niners from the division race and nothing to play for except maybe 5 vs 6 seed (if LAR also loses)?  They’ve had a lot of injuries this year and some veterans in key positions that could use a week of rest

The Bills/Eagles game this afternoon may make the first point moot and who knows what Detroit team we get next week at Soldier Field. I would think they’d be motivated to embarrass Ben Johnson again but they’re probably just trying to get the season over with after their deflating collapse
