Brian Kelly did more or less how I thought he would at LSU, though I underestimated how much LSU fans would hate him for it.

The idea that a guy whose teams were rarely at their best in the biggest moments at Notre Dame was suddenly going to be able to coach his teams to 2-3 huge regular season wins (which is usually necessary to be near the top of the SEC) and then multiple postseason wins over elite teams was pretty silly.

Reports are coming out that LSU boosters had secured pledges for all ~$10M of year one of Brian Kelly’s buyout by Saturday night after the game.

I've always disliked Notre Dame. I hope for them to lose most of the time. I have enjoyed when they've been crushed in the various playoff formats over the years. 

However Kelly seemed like a complete jerk. Both when he left and throughout. Meanwhile Freeman always seemed like a good guy.  

So it has been refreshing to see Freeman do well while at the same time Kelly seemingly took the keys to a Ferrari and proceeded to hit multiple telephone poles every few miles.

I'll be surprised if he lands a major job for next year.  There's a full on smear campaign going against him at this point and it feels like he deserves it because he's just a piece of horsefeathers.

Ive noticed my ND dislike has cooled quite a bit. I am really hoping they make the playoffs and keep out an SEC after thought.

There’s still a lot of losses to come for the SEC. The 6-2 SEC teams plus Vandy have a lot of H2H games left. We still have Vandy-Texas, Oklahoma-Tennessee, Oklahoma-Missouri and Vandy-Tennessee. Texas also still plays A&M and Georgia, Missouri plays A&M and Oklahoma gets Bama.

I guess maybe Vandy could go 10-2 and get passed over because they don’t want to take 5 SEC schools.
